Can someone explain why the first half of this film was utter, utter shit. Profoundly bad. Like some gay autists low-budget Youtube love letter to his soldier lover (God I hated the non-soldier's acting). AND YET, the second half I thought was incredibly inspired filmmaking, like amazing, amazing stuff.

They have no basis for deciding this, though. They don't even tell you the genre. They don't even really tell you if the cinematography is good, because you can't tell anything about the patterns of shots or how they relate to the other aspects of the work. They're worthless.
