pleb patrol incoming

No need to announce yourself by calling yourself a pleb m8. "Sup Forumscore" is full of great albums so no shame in happening to like them

People who "happens to" have a chart filled with mucore eventhough they listen to other stuff like p4k flavor of the month albums are the best. No shame in having the most generic taste indeed

Sup Forumscore is good music for the most part; you can't deny that. And if you go on Sup Forums, that's going to be the stuff you come across most often and will be the most likely to check out. And since it's mostly good stuff, once you realize that you're really liking Sup Forumscore music so far, why wouldn't you listen through more of it, since it's proven to be high quality stuff thus far?

And outside of here and other similar communities it's really not that generic of taste. And even here it's becoming less generic because for some reason Sup Forumscore is now just the music you're not allowed to like on this board if you don't want to be insulted for no reason.

Why can't people just like whatever music they fuckin want?

well sure but dont throw your waste chart onto these dying threads

just fuck me up

couldn't think of that many records I ~adore~, so here's my four favorite films instead. hope that's ok.

seems like a chill dude. have you listened to Jefre Cantu-Ledesma? might be up your alley.

comme ci comme ça

Miami is a pretty solid album. would definitely consider having you over for beer from the looks of things.

pleb patrol indeed (I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a fan of Elverum, Sun Kil Moon or Neutral Milk Hotel.) I guess you could consider listening to more music released earlier than Y2K, perhaps? that'd be my rec to you.

of course you could deny it if you wanted to, it's not as though the albums hailed by Sup Forums (ie. Pitchfork & Scaruffi) represent a worldwide, critical consensus.

people are free to like and listen to what they want, but there is also no denying this board's narrow perspective when it comes to music, which means the same few albums get circled around ad infinitum. (and to make it clear I'm not pretending that I am exempt from this).

Does anyone have that math-rock flowchart?

...

bumppp

what's the movie poster on the far right? i like that altman, jeanne dielman too

I listed the films, but it's Outer Space by Tscherkassky. it's 10 minutes and available on YouTube. check it out.

thanks, and yeah my bad. didn't look carefully

no worries! I hope you like it. it's *very* accessible avant-garde filmmaking in terms of how visceral and instantaneously rewarding it is, but Tscherkassky's oeuvre is also just very unique and I love it very much.

I do like US Maple thank you
thanks for the recs

visceral avant-garde sounds like exactly the sort of thing i'd like, thanks. do you have a letterboxd and/or rym?

haha nice. yeah I've got both. end either URL with /worriedfire (or /~worriedfire on RYM) and that's me. shoot me a follow & I'll follow you back.

just added you through rym. i'm a little new to film so there's not much to see

cool! though I might add that I don't update my film log on RYM (nor do I write anything), so if you've got lbxd there's more to see there. I followed you back on rym tho (and I really want to see Celine & Julie soon. saw the first half [ie. six fucking hours] of Out 1 and couldn't get into it but am definitely NOT ready to give up on Rivette yet.)

i don't but i'll pay yours a visit anyway :-). le pont du nord is also worthwhile and has a slightly shorter runtime

have you heard my dad is dead? people always compare them to interpol
