Wow holy shit, assumed they just lost when I saw this thread. Tim Vickery has been hyping them up as a big story in the British media.
RIP
BR Stoke City. One point behind based Gremio.

Me too, OP ):

>two goalkeepers survived
not only good at saving balls, but also their own lives
>Not dying with your team in an epic plane crash
cucks
FFFFFFFFFFFF
They will have survivors guilt for the rest of their lives though
One of them just died in the hospital.
Fug ;_;
Damn you, Germany, I feel awful laughing about this.
me too bro
Obligatory minutes silence at PL games?
F :(((
Way to ruin my joke, that man. :c
I swear, I will never understand why things are this way.
They were a small team in a formidable ascension.
Do you faggots still believe in god after this?
>inb4 tips fedora
Shit happens?
Please don't tell me it was Based Danilo
>implying I've ever believed
I could reach the character limit recalling things that God shouldn't have allowed in history.

>Go from 4th division to 1th in 6 years
>Go to play a continental cup final
>Whole team except 3 players and this guys ded
jesus christ RIP in rest of peace because sad as fuck news :(
Shit that's sad. Truly our 9/11.
Too bad Neymar didn't die too
my heart goes out to them, and their family
this is sad.
...
>let me call this dude on his cellph-
>oh wait, that's right
They defeated my Botafogo, a very traditional team here, with a score of 2x0 two rounds ago. If my Botafogo has been heroic this year, then Chapecoense’s heroism surpassed the lines of the field. I used to love the way the Desempedidos called them: The Greatest Green of Brazil.
>actually went to chapeco a few months ago
>met caio junior
fuck, this makes me so sad

yeta
So what happens now since 95% of the team is gone? I don't know if football has some sort of draft system like in the US. Do they just sign someone on the street to be on the team?
CBF is probably going to suspend their games and wait until they recover
Three alive from crash plus nine who didn't travel to Colombia. At least 12 footballers for reconstruction.
There's only 1 league match to be played, round 38.
CBF should just award both them and their opponents (Atlético-MG) 3 points.
3 points wouldn't even alter Atl.MG's position anyways, they'd still be 4th.
The ones alive may have sustained serious career ending injuries tho.
I think they have one match remaing this season, which they will either forfeit or field youth team. For next season they will try to build a new thread signing players and loaning from other teams.
If my Flamengo hadn't choked against Palestino this wouldn't have happened ;_;;;

RIP. I remember Cleber Santana when he played for Atletico de Madrid
fuck I meant F* not even joking ):
I can only hope that donations will help them recover financially.
Nonetheless, the most entertaining team on Serie A is gone.
RIP
F
They at least can occupy reserves' bench and play occasionally.
>Leicester
>6th place in the league
Sounds like tottenshit to me
RIP
We're all Chapecoense now :'(
F
Wait.
They were playing Atletico Nacional in the final of the Copa Sudamericana. Nacional won the Copa Libertadores in July, how are they in another tournament final? How are they in two competitions at the same time?
Messi and Argentina took the same plane 18 days before.
#Just ConmebolThings
I dunno man surviving a plane crash implies some serious physical souvenirs.
RIP Ronaldinho
Those tournaments are not mutually exclusive per se
even tho Conmebol tries to promote second tier teams to play it, different countries having different calendars (annual/european) can lead to this things. Colombia for example has an annual season but it's scheduled in european semesters
I hope they're all in heaven now ;_;
8:1
They are 9th place. Can still climb up to 7th, since this is the last round.
But this isn't the point, they were on their way for their first continental cup. And Chapecoense is a small team from a small town in Brazil, they started in fourth division and climbed up to the Série A. And the most impressive thing: they didn't get relegated after that, which many bigger teams do.
Everyone I knew that cares about brfootball was hoping for a Chapecoense win, I'm not even exagerating here, and I don't even know a single person who cheers for Chapecoense.
Fuck off, Ahmed.
>Everyone I knew that cares about brfootball was hoping for a Chapecoense win
Everyone in Southamerica but Narcoanal fans hoped that
The Chapecoense players who didn’t make the trip to Colombia sit in shock back in their locker room in Brazil. Devastating image

THIS PROVES GOD DOESN'T EXIST? RIGHT?
2002 - :)
F
this is actually sad
considering they beat the pope's team, it very well proves god exists
uh, I didn't know that
How badly these handsome guys kicked your team's ass familia?
We had nothing to do with it:
Shit, one of the surviving goalkeepers just died in the hospital.
...
Fucking hell, why with chape, why couldn't they have a flight directly to Colombia, why did it happen on a place where it is hard as fuck to rescue people, how did the airplane malfunction?
Fuck, i just woke up, tuned in on fox sports and they were talking about Danilo dying, and then i remembered that i heard about an accident last night, and realized that all Chapecoense's teammates might be dead.
I'm so sad right now, but so angry at too, never though i'd cry for a team that i didn't support.
F
Martinuccio survived.
lmao
A horrible tragedy, I know ;_;
I guess there's something we can learn from it. If you put too many Brazilian footballers on a plane, the plane will dive too
nice post
7777-1
RIP Chapecoense 2016, you were a interesting team.
I've seen brazil win 2 worldcups. Even if you believed in reincarnation, you'd never see australia win anything relevant in football.
the plot thickens

all these 7's
kek'd but lad....
wew lad
awful news to wake up to :(
i was rooting for them, underdog against narconal
F
We don't put all our eggs in one basket.
Unlike Chapecoense
This is true, at least Narcoanal wont win (legit).
>For next season they will try to build a new thread signing players and loaning from other teams.
that won't work
they should be given 3-4 years to structure themselves while keeping their spot on the league
Puta que o pariu isso não ta acontecendo
