A guy I've known online for years has worked as an English teacher in schools around Iwanuma in Miyagi Prefecture. We talk a lot.
HIs last message to me on discord was on the weekend, telling me that school was out and was going to do training at the mountains and won't be back until the 31st.
Well, given the avalanche on Monday I have been worried, especially after hearing today that a teacher had died as well as students.
I have not been able to find much information regarding victims, only that 7 were students and 1 teacher and that they were all male. Nothing about the nationality about the teacher.
If any Japanese know more about this please post.
