Castlevania: Symphony of the Night OST

And Morrowind.

BASED

...

FFX OST is better.

ROLLING AROUND AT THE SPEED OF SOUND

FOLLOW ME

SET ME FREE

AND WE WILL ESCAPE TO THE CITY
i spent way too much time trying to raise chao and running around in that garden place

GOAT soundtrack coming through.

...

It depends on what I want to listen to. If I want to have background music, I go for Silent Hill 1 or Metal Gear Solid 1. If I want to actively listen, I usually go for the later Metal Gear games, especially MGS3, or the Earthbound soundtrack.
I'm also going to be that one indie asshole everyone hates and say Night In The Woods has my current favorite OST.
...And also the Undertale guy everyone hates. I own the Undertale OST on CD. Whatever, I'm not going to let the terrible fanbase ruin my enjoyment of the game or its soundtrack.

putting aside nostalgia, yeah maybe
particularly To Zanarkand, it's pretty damn classy

...

That version is good and all but the complete soundtrack is better.

Nothing gives me nostalgia like vanilla wow soundtrack

Honestly while it's not all hits I really enjoy it and it has stuff like Conquest (Ablaze) which helped me understand that I did like jazz and I was approaching it through a way that didn't quite appeal to me.

Highly underrated soundtrack.

...

maybe overlooked but it's certainly well-regarded

there's a reason why Ubisoft released the soundtrack or promoted it before the game's release, they realized you can't go wrong with Amon Tobin

...

BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY

...

The OST is the only reason to remember this game at all
People still don't
Roar of the Earth is amazing

Some of the best soundtracks ever.

Especially slave knight Gael's theme.

Solid choice

Neir Automata.

Here's a game that probably very few people have heard of with a dope soundtrack

Is this just the music from the opening of Up?

Can't beat this

Rockstar game soundtracks are always top-tier.

>judging video game OST by itself
ITT: retards

I mean, it's music. It doesn't matter if there's a game attached or not, if it has songs that can be enjoyed outside of the work itself, who cares if it's a soundtrack?
Music is music, no matter where it comes from.

Came here to post this, but since you already did, I'll just the most atmospheric vidya OST to ever exist.

youtube.com/watch?v=VuiEgWun5po

Listening to bits of an OST has compelled me to take interest in a game before.

youtu.be/QmVBbJOEtsU for example made me take interest in Nier before I even knew the sequel was coming out a few months back

...

Obligatory.

Second one had a better soundtrack imo

it was the first game I got into and played til the end in a very long time, I was pretty surprised with the OST. Didn't pay attention to the music up until this point: youtube.com/watch?v=NlQcKBUcgmA

>not posting the superior soundtrack

YOOOO RONRY RORRI STAAAAAA

so much this

FOLLOW MY RAINBOW

get that horrible shit out of here
now
the OG soundtracks are pretty good, and the metal covers in the DoomMetal mod as well

What is wrong with the DOOM OST, user?

This game got me into Synthwave. I'm lucky it was free with ps+

it's fucking djentstep

it's a hideous crossover of MLG dudebro music and hipster nu-male music

there's a few decent riffs buried underneath it all but that just makes it more disgusting

shit
so-so.

I always liked this soundtrack. It gave the game this very mysterious, powerful aura. Like a game about the ocean should do.

Also Nier

Spyro 1, specifically this song youtube.com/watch?v=8LkB4j5hYiw

imma post again just to say that everything about this song is perfect

two different ideas going on, the lead electric piano takes the forefront but the bassline is so fucking CHILL, and the pad or strings or whatever in the background just give it this nighttime vibe

like it's getting me emotional right now bro

youtube.com/watch?v=yWh9l8RSkPk

Is it better than the Abzu soundtrack?

The original Spyro trilogy had some fantastic music.

This soundtrack is literally a meme
Easiest way to spot a RYM drone

My personal favorite was the Abyss Watcher's theme.

Basic fantasy shit but Blizzard has great musicians
Surprsingly influential and you can hear echoes of it in the music of Nicolas Jarr, Laurel Halo, Daniel Lopatin, etc
A personal favorite
Generic fantasy shit
