no, because it's hard rock

Yeah it's basically transcendent power-pop, the only non pussified power pop album in existance
A shame that hype one or two note piano sound didn't catch on

The Cars' albums are pretty much power pop and they're very much not pussified.

Saw him live perform this whole album in order. Dude is one of the last great rock performers

It is hard rock, but *conceptually* I think it's very much power-pop.

Oh please dude
>I'm in love with my best friends girl

People don't seriously like this album right?

It was the most disgusting cringest crap I've ever heard in my life. It was like man child pop metal.

Dude is super fucking friendly.
Like too friendly.
I've met him three times.
I feel like if you were around him regularly irl you'd get sick of him.
>doesn't get it

Tried hard to like this but just can't get into it.

Just backing up my point bud

>being friendly and positive is being a cringy man child
Go outside

I love it. It's pure.

You have to first understand and accept that he's totally tongue-in-cheek, though he'll never come right out and say this. It'd ruin the joke. After that you have to listen hard to the songs and you start to realize his melodies and chord changes aren't as dumb as the settings suggest.

With that said, you have to also like loud-ass rock, or no amount of understanding will help you enjoy it.

I've seen his interviews, his no better then jack black. His like that old dad who thinks his funny.

Besides the point that album was corny and disgusting.

>letting a musicians personality in interviews determine your enjoyment of music
>not liking dad jokes
Enlighten me, YouTube Comment Man, what is your favorite band?

Ahh cool. Got it.

Welp guess I'll never like the dude. He makes music for a different crowd I guess.

>pic related.

glad to elUCIDATE YOUR ASS THIS EVENING

I literally said that it was "besides the point" can you not read.

And sure? Of the top of my head
Idk prolly nick cave or death in June

How about you?

>a death in june fan complaining about another musician's aesthetic

Okay bud you do you.

unironically yes

...

Natch.

Sorry OP, I've gotta leave the ultimate power pop album position to pic related

WK was in Currents 93 for a time if that means anything to you.

>WHEN YOU FUCKING FORGET PIC

you'd get sick of him, and then you'd feel bad about being sick of him, so you'd just start avoiding him altogether for months and months. never return his calls, never text back, nothing. months turn into years and one day you find yourself closer to death than you are to birth and you'd start to think about your friend andrew and the good times you two had and you'll try in vain to remember why you started avoiding him in the first place and you won't.

you'll dig one of your old phones out of a drawer. the one with andrew's number on it. you'll plug it in and let it charge. you'll call andrew. he'll pick up on the first ring.

I just looked at his wiki page and it redirects to fucking Steev Mike.
Which one of you memelords did this?
I don't want that feel.

didn't need a reply

Anytime, kiddo.

Have you tried talking to a psychologist about the anger you're suppressing in your day-to-day life?

No, I just masturbate with a handful of glass and it usually helps me for a few days.

Anyway, recommend good power-pop artists/albums.
