This thread is for the discussion of the language, culture, travel, daily life, etc. of Japan. Let's tark at randam in Japanese and English. Take it easy!
Hey I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but what is the easiest way to move to Japan? Not talking about the working holiday which is only one year. I wanna live there forever. I made this decision already some years ago and it's deep inside me. There is already no way back, even I'm not there yet. I can't enjoy living in Germany when I know that it's so much more perfect in Japan. I was watching anime since kid and I believe I know everything about their culture. Also I mainly listen to Japanese music (visual kei, etc.) so I guess that makes it faster to learn and understand their language. I'm also good in drawing manga if that helps somehow..

in my opinion, take an airplane is the easiest way I ask you, you think, can I live in germany not to speak german? I know, most of germans speak english but few people can speak english in here 日本は桃源郷ではありませんのでまずは日本語を覚えましょう

Are anison singers well-known among normal, non-otaku Japanese? Or are they only popular among anime fans? I've noticed than anison singles rarely sell more than 10,000 CDs, while mainstream artists easily sell twice as that, even for their lower selling releases.

a few years ago , An anison singer appeared on the most popular TV-singing show in japan and sang his song: the OP of "attack on titan".
I think anime and the subculture deriving from it have been prevailing among nomie people more and more.
