I contend that we're bordering dystopian right now. Many people are born into awful lifestyles that they lack the tools or vision to escape. All the while they're essentially herded like lifestock and harvested of their works, passions, and energies. Their reward is to sit around play videogames, watch netflix, and browse Sup Forums.
Interesting topic. Don't let it die
C'mon every 20 post I show my tits.
>dystopian apocalypse
were pretty much set up for this.
No bait I swear
OP here.
I believe that either another WW will break out and with that pretty much wipe out humanity. Or that we will continue to live as we do now with more advanced technology that we will use for the same dumb shit we do now
We have a lot further to sink than people think. The future is going to stink like shit of 20 billion people. Eventually a massive war, or more likely plague - that is gonna get ugly.
Climate change is going to seriously fuck our food supply. Acidification of the oceans, overfishing, etc. Our rapidly eroding top soil.. man you don't realize how fucking important top soil is, and how impossible to replace it will be.
Your grandchildren will eat fucking bacteria paste grown in vats, and consider themselves lucky.
We're gonna get too much technology, kill like 50% of people, and then it's gonna get cool and sci fi now that the species has been purified.
I'll be browsing Sup Forums at almost 6am on a day much like today, and I'll come across a thread wondering what the furture will be like, and I'll be like oh shit I remember when I saw the last thread about what the furture will be like and then I'll realize that the furture is now.
>The furture is now.
I think this too. We have enough technologie to make a lot more disaster than WW2.
Of course it will depend of the alliance
Fucking kek I had to reread OPs post to get that joke.
This
I'm betting on Waterworld or WW3 Nuclear Edition. I'm taking sailing classes so I can live on a boat asap
>the furture is now
Body/genetic modifications.
Dogs will be given the possibility to speak (and humans will suddenly start hating some of them) and will pretend equal rights as humans and eventually they will obtain them, many will manage to modify their body so that they will have arms and legs and whatnot, some of them will be at war with humans.
Possibly this will happen with other animals as well.
Humans will modify their bodies to get stronger, smarter, faster (oh shit I'm being daftpunkish here, whatever).
It's not about how humans can modify the environment to let them do some stuff but it's about how humans can modify themselves such that they will be able to do such stuff, like: humans cannot survive a travel through atmosphere because of the heat? They will get a skin that lets them do so. Humans cannot fly? They will, somehow. Humans cannot breathe in space? They will modify their body such that it requires such a low amount of oxygen that they won't need breathing in space because they stored the amount of oxygen they needed while breathing on the earth. Human bodies will be nowhere as close as the ones we have right now.
And so on.
I don't know what it is with you furfags and trying to shove your furry agenda but you're worse than all these "white women were made for black cock how can white men compete BBC" threads. Stop it or I'm gonna treat you how you've always wanted, like a bad dog and smack your nose with a rolled up newspaper.
I believe the future will bring technical progress, mostly to the first world countries though. Religion will mostly die out in them aswell.
The split between poor and rich will continue to get broader because second world countries mostly fail to keep up and third world countries stay in a state where they consider technology a bad and useless thing.
Even within those first world countries the split between rich and poor will increase and social benefits will continue to try to keep the poverty of the bottom class at bay.
The split of course will create tension and produce more ground for terrorism resulting in more attacks with more deaths resulting in hightened security and surveillance in first and second world countries.
At some point security in first and second world countries will reach a state where terrorism is pretty much impossible and will become a thing of the past which is the point where those first world countries will become "utopias".
On a global scale not many changes will happen. Proxy wars between russia, china and murrica will still be fought - mostly on africa soil now since oil is a thing of the past and now other resources are needed.
topkek
But it's Sup Forums though.
Oh and i forgot
SPACE
DEVELOPMENT
>humans starting to journeys to other planet systems which takes up some hunderet years, so they stay there for some generations on these ships.
>we've reached the point where genetical modifications are possible to get rid of space problems to the human biology effectively creating a brand of humans who can't go on planets themselves, but serve as "drivers".
>debris in earth orbit starts destroying sattelites, has to be collected now
i pretty much think the same, but i assume that in the lonh run robots will replace workers and we work way less physical labour, but more like research and creative things, stuff that robots cant, yet
