Bump

best thing to do is to go see a doctor

immediately upon waking up, im a pissed off asshole.
a bowl and some caffeine has me up in 15-20 mins feeling ok though.

Depends how many hours do you sleep?

Not telling you to sleep more since i personally wake up before my alarm and i only sleep 6 hours average.

Its all about sticking to a rhythm.

Might hang together with lack of fitness, bad food - especially before sleep and irregular sleeping cycles. Or homones and shit i don't know about.
>slight dizzyness and a short thought about the dream i just had, usually i come to the conclusion that i don't want to remember it any more so i stop thinking about it and have forgotten it 15 minutes later, otherwise perfectly functional after 30 minutes

This morning I am working 1st shift after getting done working 2nd shift last night. I always feel tired for first 2 hours and I usually get the shits for some reason. Only after these turnarounds do I get the shits. Not sure why.

it's weird.
If I sleep 4 hours I wake up great and feel like shit some hours after.
If I sleep 6+ I wake up like a shit but feel better during the day

I'm asking because maybe it's normal, dont know

There's a thing called sleep cycles (you usually pass two of those per sleep), if you sleep regularly your sleep cycles will adapt and you will wake up in a phase which is NOT the deep sleep phase. The deep sleep phase is the time where you actually recover your body and if you wake up in this period you will feel like you've been hit by a brick because of the sleeping hormones still circulating in your body.
Anyways, you should sleep about 8 hours, not 4 or 6. This is too short to be healthy.

Most mornings I wake up with a hangover due to drinking most nights, around 9.30-10am is when I start to feel a little more normal and with it

I typically get about 4 or 5 hours of sleep. I always wake up coughing up shit and wheezing, not to mention tired as fuck. My allergies create a miserable experience for my along with whatever mold and dust mites might be in the house. I hate waking up.

Drink more water. If I don't drink a glass before I go to sleep, I always wake up feeling like absolute shit.

Have you ever considered moving out of that shithole you call home if you're coughing due to unknown reasons?

>How do you feel when you wake up?

Disappointed.

I drink alot of water, sometimes I need to watch to myself to not over drink and wake up to piss.

The first thing I gotta do when I wake up is to spit a little bit of phlegm.

Might this be related?

Listen to this guy.

Also, try and exert yourself during the day and avoid any blue light (TV, phones etc) at least an hour before bed. Or get a blue light filter program at least.

woke af

Drink 2+ litres minimum of water a day while eating healthy, run every morning and sleep 8 hours every night. Do this for a month and if it doesn't help then go a doctor.

I went to a doctor with lack of sleep and he told to me to do all that shit and surprise surprise I didn't feel like shit every morning,

They way you feel when you wake up is extremely related with the overall state of your mind.

If you feel your life is shit, you will wake up tired and depressed.

ok, you were very assertive, I'll do try this for real. Thx

normal when sleep quality is shit or if youre zombie/werewolf/vampire trying to force sleeping at night and function during day

>How do you feel when you wake up?

>Rotten
>Tired
>Angry/sad
>A step away from an anxiety attack

m8 u need 7-9 hours per night. I'm a serious sleep enthusiast. Read many books on sleeping and dreaming m8. Literally the best drug.

Check out this article. nytimes.com/2017/03/10/opinion/sunday/can-sleep-deprivation-cure-depression.html

Get some amber-tinted glasses. Put them on when the sun goes down. Blue light stimulates your pineal gland, telling it not to produce melatonin, which you need for sleep. Direct correlation between screen use and lessened sleep. Related to this, when you do get it, go stare at the sky for at least 10 seconds. The blue helps your body know what's up.

Second, don't drink water before bed. Go to bed slightly dehydrated. When you wake up, pound 3 glasses of water.

Third, you want your room cold. 68-72 degrees F.

Fourth, dark. Get blackout curtains if you don't have them. You shouldn't even be able to see your hand waving in front of your face.

Fifth, if you life in a noisy place, get a white noise machine. I got a 40 dollar air filter at walmart.

If you're getting super scientifical, at this point you should invest in some high thread-count sheets. 600+, 100% cotton. Don't get any synthetic shit, and don't get bamboo.

Limit caffeine intake. Don't drink any after noon.

I could keep going. I love the sleep.

Sounds like you're having shit quality sleep. Are you overweight? That can cause snoring and giving you shit sleep. I need around 8-9 hrs sleep to feel good, less gets worse.

Stop drinking caffeine for a week and Ill bet you sleep better and are more refreshed

So how to wake early and not feel like shit. I have bad allergies and it fucks up my sleep because I can't breath :(

...

Go to bed earlier.

I have to get up at 5:30am for work, so I'm in bed at 9pm. Usually I put on a podcast on my phone next to me then turn it off when I know I'm tired enough to fall asleep.

awake

Yeah, I feel completely awful whenever I wake up as well. It is really difficult to make myself actually get out of bed. If I don't force myself to get up when my alarm goes off I can probably spend a good 30-45 minutes snoozing my alarm every 5 minutes and by that point I have maybe 15-20 minutes to get ready to go whatever obligation has me waking up to an alarm for.

What works best for me is to do a series of things are mentally and physically stimulating enough to get me up and to that point of "no return" where you feel the immediate tiredness go away and are left in that groggy state that goes away fairly quick.

First thing I do is turn off my alarm. Then open my alarm menu on my phone and turn off the two other alarms (I set 3 alarms in the morning because I'm a man child).

Then I rip the covers off me. I have two fans blowing on me and it makes me cold and uncomfortable as fuck to lay there with cold air blowing on me.

Then, I down whatever water is remaining in the glass of water I pour for myself the night before. Usually the act of chugging down a whole glass of water is enough to get me awake enough to get up and begin the rest of my morning routine and pretend to be a productive member of society for 8 or 9 hours then go back home, fap to trap porn til it's 2AM and I'm miserable and t hen do it all over again

Yay life

Well since I have fucking 2 autoimmune diseases and the doctors won't diagnose me for the second one I feel pretty shit.
Constant pain 24/7, sleep is the only time I dont ache

What is the source of your allergies m8? Are they seasonal or dietary? Find that out first m8. I used to have pretty bad allergies, would take benadryl to sleep. I assumed they were from the air. After I changed my diet a bit, allergies completely disappeared. For me, cutting out gluten was the key. For my entire life I woke up with super stuffed sinuses. Now nothing. Sleep much better too.

One way to tell, is to look at when your allergies come on. Chances are they flare up at a uniform time of the day. Compare to chart attached. Pretty weird, I know, but when I eat gluten, like clockwork right around 6:00 a.m. I get super allergy attack.

It can depend on a lot of things really.

Do you sleep too little/much?
Do your body get enough exercise?
Do you drink coffee in the evening?
Do you get enough vitamins?
Do you eat too little/much?
Do you drink enough water?
What is your bed time pattern?
