Guitar work on it is astounding.
Windir's great, shame what happened to Valfar.
Judas Iscariot's To Embrace The Corpses Bleeding is rifftastic and most of Black Twilight Circle movement is fucking solid. Also, Inquistion kicks major ass.
Sometimes I feel I'm the only one who's ever listened to this band, and it's pretty sad because they released two of the best bm albums of the past decade
>shame what happened to Valfar.
Sure, but hey
He died one of the tr00est deaths possible
Say what you will, this band is/was top level.
>broke up after releasing 4 solid LPs
>two guys are doing jackshit afaik, one guy plays in a garbage crossover band
What's your favourite thrash album?
...
Vektor - Terminal Redux
BtR, although this general memed By Inheritance for a while and now it's really grown on me. If it wasn't for that one cockrock song, it might be my new favorite.
This one is great, but Sadus does shit for me no other thrash band ever could.
THE DARKNESS IS MY LOVER
darkness descends
or violent restitution
>this general memed By Inheritance for a while
It literally lasted three generals and happened like two days ago
You are aware that albums are memed at different times by different people, right? Soulside Journey was spammed on a few occasions in the last year or so.
Yes, I know.
So /metal/ which album has the best Troops of Doom Morbid Visions or Schizophrenia? Pic related for me.
Soulside Journey was spammed during the start of 2017 by me. Made one guy get it on vinyl, so my mission was more than completed.
Schizo is my favorite Sepultura record, I love the Inquistion Symphony instrumental, neat shit.
I spammed it too.
Why soulside journey though? Is it cause you think its a bad album or something
...
...
A lot of /metal/ posters did, but I started the spam, this year anyway.
What? My spams were an attempt to shill it to faggots that didn't listen to it yet. It's packed with tremendous riffs, Fenriz's drumming is underrated and even though they sounded a little bored of dm there, it's still a solid fucking album as Fenriz stated in the interview. Heavy Bolt Thrower worship, even though it shares a good amount of things with Sweeds.
By Inheritance got memed that one period of time after Vektorposting reached critical mass and /metal/ frantically scrambled to find new bands/albums to meme the same way like Winds Of Creation and Gojira
i remember that, after we memed Rise of the North Star to death
>implying ROTNS is dead
bullshit
also Vektorposting was more mean-spirited and derogatory
DIE BY THE _____

SWORD
SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORD
More cowbell black?
Themes from William Blake's Marriage of Heaven and Hell it's great because it's very adventurous, but it's mess made by youngish pretentious metalheads and it shows greatly.
Norwegian DM in general seems to occupy a space between the Earache sound (Carcass, BT, MA) and the Swedish bands.
Seems to me the only real "scenes" emerged in densely populated cities or regions, e.g. Stockholm/Gothenburg, Tampa, NYC. NE probably has the strongest DM output among continental countries, but then again it's only a 2 hr drive between most cities in Holland.
What about Finland?
Finnish DM best DM
Aye.
Heh, nothing personal kid.
>american anything
>the best
this unironically, leaving aside the classics
Didn't mean to exclude them. The Finns had arguably the most identifiable DM "sound" outside the aforementioned Big 3 scenes. However, the bands involved weren't really centered in one place, unless you count the triangle of Helsinki-Turku-Tampere. It might be more cultural than simply geographic; I think most Finnish bands were circulating and listening to Xysma, Abhorrence, and Disgrace. Where that signature guttural, voice-less vocal technique came from is anyone's guess, maybe Mongolian throat singing.
Yes.
Black Future > everything Vektor made after it.
>'Muricans are somehow bad
If you listened to something outside of CC, you'd realize how wrong you are.
They're not bad. Just not the best.
>black future
>better than anything vektor made after
black future is good, but terminal benis is god tier
cannibal corpse are pretty good desu
they never released anything i would consider a masterpiece but they consistently release enjoyable if somewhat predictable death metal
morbid angel are easily ONE of the best DM bands
Sure, you can argue not the very best as it's largely due to tastes, but saying MA are just "good" seems like you're selling them very short.
GoA is god tier, it's thickness is unmatched.
Redux was good, but they have better work.
Bleeding was nice, but they're run of the mill as far as dm goes.
Not that guy but nah
Black Future is top tier, Terminal Memes is just great
>tfw vektor is kill
Stupid frog.
album name? i tried to search for Bergtatt - Et Eeventyr i 5 Capitler but Bing returned nothing
this is the weirdest troll
>troll
heh
It's a painting of a forest you blind fuck
I thought it was a hairy buttcheek
>Bing
Thank you for reminding me this album exists.
Had to save this from mesenger so hopefully this copy isn't too compressed.
Anyone a fan of this album art? Doing a series of documentarial cybergrind albums and wanted some opinions. Will post more if anyone is interested.
>cybergrind
>no weebshit album cover

>out of africa theory is probably wrong

metal for this feel?
no provolome my fondude
Great now I have to throw my copy of Sapiens in the garbage. How will I explain this to the local library?
Blame them having lies in their library.
Metal is african music. Listen to true white music.
I unironically think that Panzerfaust is the best Darkthrone's album.
am I the only one who zones out halfway through the album I'm listening to for the first time and ultimately skips it?
It's the weakest out of the big 5, but Hordes Of Nebulah is the shit.
well if it's so bad that I'm zoning out, sure. But maybe I'm zoning out because, at the moment, I'm not in the right frame of mind to listen to it. Hell maybe I'm too sleepy or have a lot of shit in my mind. I tend to try to give everything a second chance
I wish Total Death got as much attention as Panzerfaust. It's so unjustly overlooked. Even their iffy bm albums pre-crust-rebirth get more screen time.
I think that, had it been released right after TH, it'd be remembered as part of the "unholy tetralogy" or something of that effect
best Celtic Frost worship there is
Total Death is their last good album. It's vastly underrated, I agree. Arctic Thunder was fairly ok and I believe the next one will be even better.
>Beherit
A public place in Finland is arguably more kvlt than a venue
Love Gateways man, top 3 Morbid Angel album for me

It's not a meme. Ulver is the original nu-black band.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
NEEEEROOO LIGHTS UP THE NIIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHTTTTTT
The point is that Bergtatt is one of black metal's greatest offerings, and whatever numalery came from it is irrelevant.
9.4/10 album; best album since Shadows
