I know how that feels all too well. Whenever I get a friend request or something like that I won't talk to them because I'm too scared but I don't want to refuse their friend request and then they'll hate me. So I just add them after like a month of waiting and hope they never message me...
Because at some point I'll fuck up and have to deal with the consequences. But if I don't take the job then I don't have to deal with that down the road.

What line of work? I work a regular 8-5, M-F kind of job now, but used to slog it out in previous jobs. Funny how it's hard to be complacent- when you have too much time on your hands, boredom is the issue, and when it's constantly grinding it out, you'd kill to be bored.

I gotta wonder sometimes. I think some of it has to do with being a doormat for so long that it's business as usual, and you find ways to creatively enjoy being that bad (like that jersey with the list of QB names). There's some Browns fans that can only remember one winning season in 2007. They still didn't make the playoffs that year.
