Worth having a look when making a decision as well

>only one of these teams has "FC" after the city.

WE COULD LEARN SOMETHING, AMERIBROS

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
The delusion is so strong, it burns

...

>implying if Cosmos were promoted to the MLS they would have died anyway

QUICK, SOMEONE FORM AFC ANCHORAGE, THIS IS OUR CHANCE TO GET INTO THE USL FOR CHEAP

>implying the reason they died is because they WEREN'T
That's a special brand of fuck-up when a championship team folds two seconds later

When they joined, they knew what the situation was

>nycc
So where do their """""""""""fans"""""""""""""""" go now??

Probably to their vegan eastern medicine temples

THEY DIED OF A BROKEN HEART

They all gather at Shuart Stadium and drink the kool-aid

>tfw Sounders in the final

LAGs

Who will join the league with AFC Anchorage? My money's on NY Cosmos and/or a Hawaii team.

US Virgin islands team when?

>Villa won MVP
I thought he deserved it. Giovinco got hurt too many times and Wright-Phillips stole Kljestan's votes

Apparently Houston and Atlanta are after Eugenio Isnaldo.

>large hispanic population of Georgia
KEK

cmon based Atlanta-Argentine relations

>Soon

Is he even good?
As far as I can tell Atlanta wants him because of the coach and chances are Houston are trying to snag a DP/bargain bin players.

looked decent on youtube. cmon how good does a defender have to be to be one of the best in MLS.

>tfw got tickets to the mls cup

Very excited lads

Atletico Vermont
Internazionale Yukon

Say hello to North Carolina FC

Seattle has biggest supporter base, and everyone is jealous, yet they haven't won titles, only open cups.
Toronto has never done jack until this year.

When is information about the USSF meeting going to drop?

Haven't been able to visit /mls/ in a bit but just wanted to say

NASL BTFO

I HOPE YOU'RE NOT FORGETTING OUR 5 (FIVE) AMWAY CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS ON PURPOSE FRIENDO

'09, '10, '11, '12, AND '16

No, but for real, this is the most significant thing we've done, ever.

If TFC wins who gets their CCL berth?

Pretty cool crests compared to a lot of MLS.

Darwin City Football Club when?

Can somebody explain why all these MLS teams have "FC" at the end of their name? Aren't they soccer franchises.

>Atlanta have Martino

Still can't believe it.

youtube.com/watch?v=WzMO6chnTyA

>NASL
user, 12, M, Basement

Yeah, we're newer at this.

PREDICS

HA

>San Antonio before FC Cincinnati
>Ft. Lauderdale Strikers up there
>not North Carolina FC
shameful, delete this at once

NYCFC does.

...

Are you guys planning on having two football leagues? Like American football with the conference stuff? What's the deal with NASL?

It's about to fold and our soccer system is going to be similar to our baseball system

top quality post

1) I didn't make that pic

2)
>San Antonio population: 1.4 million
>Cincinnati population: 297,517

Get fucked.

Is this real? Because he was literally a part owner of the original NASL in the 1980s and helped bankrupt the league.

American football does not have two leagues, it has one league with two conferences, much like how MLS is divided into East/West.

>What's the deal with NASL
They folded. Again. USL will act as minor league to MLS, probably with no pro/rel, because America.

>Soon: not in line anymore

HOLY SHIT ITS HAPPENING

really, theres still 1 more game tho tbqh.

>Atlanta
>United

Not for a long time, I'm afraid.

>Four days

>Population translates to game attendance
costanza.jpg.gif.png.webm

according to uslsoccer.com/news_article/show/703007?referrer_id=2333971 , the average attendance of Cincinnati per game was upwards of 17k. San Antonio was around 6k.

Get fucked

Feels good, man.

>he doesn't think attendance goes up when you're in a pro league
Also Toyota Field seats 8300, dingus, it expands when they get promoted.

What do the colors on the states mean? I can't find any discernable pattern.

no, this is

yours looks like something made by a wannabe graphic designer

I stared at it for like a minute, then went and found the article where I found the pic:
>wwaytv3.com/2016/01/20/usl-announces-2016-alignment-playoff-format/

... And I don't know, either.

>rowdies attempting to announce their MLS intentions tonight.
I'm glad for based Bill. But he needs a bigger crowd and a stadium

on the internet? not possible.

>10 teams
wait wat

Indeed?! TB and Miami both had MLS teams fold a dozen years ago, I thought even Miami alone attempting a return was a stretch. Fuck.

Well yeah, but expanding to 12 in 2018, I think.

There's some logistics to it in tampa, but it's a huge gamble.
Basically if Tampa gets homegrown rights for IMG academy and gets to at least a playoff berth year 1, they'll be set.
They'd just be the TB Lightning 2.0 if they're successful.

>Teams 23, 24
LAFC
Miami Beckham
>Potential teams 25-28
St. Louis FC
Sacramento Republic
FC Cincinnati
San Antonio FC
Detroit
Tampa Bay Rowdies
North Carolina FC (formerly Railhawks)

Who gets in?

Beckham United is dead.
It's going to be either Cincinnati or St Louis because they're fast-tracked

>he doesn't rate Indy Eleven
But yeah, it'll probably be St. Louis FC, Sacramento Republic, FC Cincinnati, and the fourth one is a tossup, but I'd say Indy Eleven.
Unpopular opinion, I know, but the attendance and infrastructure is there, they're on of (if not the only) successful NASL team, and I'm pretty sure that's all Garber will care about.
IF Beckham's Miami team breaks down, it's likely to be San Antonio
They'll have to build the stadium before they get promoted, it's not like the league will accept them before they have a good facility.

>it's not like the league will accept them before they have a good facility

NYCFC, Orlando, and Atlanta would beg to differ.

Probably the Revs and DC too, but they might've just been grandfathered in.

Has Indy expressed interest in joining MLS at all? They'd absolutely be a top expansion candidate if they did

They say they're happy at NASL, but when the league inevitably folds, they'll probably go to the USL, then jump up to the MLS when they submit to be promoted. At least, that's what I think would happen.

>USSF postpones vote on NASL, USL sanctioning

We'll have to wait 7-10 more days until USL gets its rightful D2 status

They just announced it.

>site of one of the two folded MLS teams
why

3 words. Completely owner funded.
Bill's a very based individual not asking for tax assistance. Also there's more Mexicans in Tampa now than in 1996.
The break is because the USSF brokered a deal that allowed NASL teams to pay their membership fee to USL over 10 years. Now they want to see who takes it

totally

This looks mighty comfy though.

>waterfront location
that's half the money right there

It's just a renovation job. They got lucky when the Yankees kicked the Rays out of Tampa Bay and moved their AA team to Tampa proper

>completely owner funded
No way does he turn a profit, the only other owner-funded sports we have are the WNBA and LFL.

They'd play there? Shit, what'st the point if no balls get kicked into the bay.

Edwards isn't a Sports guy by trade, he's a real estate tycoon. Hence he wants to urbanize St Petersburg so he can sell more houses.
Also I think last year someone cleared a ball into the marina. It was pretty funny.

>lingerie football
>funded by a man
gee I wonder why

>sell more houses
I've been in entire TB threads on this board, the city is laid out by idiots. There's no public transportation, you have to drive all the way home from work on a weekday just to drive all the way back downtown for a Rays game. It's fucked.

He doesn't make money, though.

>Downtown
Nothing notable in tampa is in tampa except maybe the lightning. Everything else is across a fucking bridge in a city they're rapidly trying to make into little New York City. St. Pete actually reminds me a lot of Lincoln, NE

>stadium breaks ground Monday
Who /soon hype/ here?

>Come On You [Team Nickname]
This euro-meme is bad and needs to stop

Just in time for the midwestern winter construction season?
