Every fucking night I can hear someone doing these disgusting loud phelgm/vomit/coughing noises outside or on a balcony
Its disturbingly loud, its disgusting and it sounds almost alien

There's always a level of cognitive dissonance when speaking to many racists now a days. The best way I can try and rationalise it is, many of them genuinely don't even see their actions as Racist. So when you point it out, they almost get offended and put it down to 'PC Culture', because, I assume, they also believe being called a Racist, isn't a nice thing either. They probably see racists as like the KKK or Nazi's - i.e. supremacists. So to them, being called out on racist views, is putting them on par with extremist supremacists.

I think this is where the cognitive dissonance lies. When many of them say slurs, or hold racist views like anti-immigration (based on race) or anti-interracial marriage, they don't see their views as necessarily as wrong; as that was the prevalent thinking and views they were brought up with. They haven't progressed with the times and don't see their views as out of date. So when we call them out on being racist, they can't compute, as they genuinely don't think they are, and they view racists as Nazi's etc (not on the same level).

Of course, I'm probably looking into this too much. I mean, who can actually rationalise a racists thoughts? They aren't known for being the smartest bunch.
