its funny you say that about my friends. After the album has been out for almost a year now, that seems to be most people's favorite which i didnt see coming at all. Thought it would be Skin Walker or Peach Fuzz. Thank you! I too hope we can get those dates. Tour is looking a bit spotty without them
I literally just started this project a couple weeks ago, and just looking for genuine criticism, it's an entirely new sound for me, so anything you have to say about it does matter.
the highlight is the track EV.
Oliver Reyes
This is really Unique, I really like it!
Jacob Flores
Great stuff, where are you guys from?

1/1
yo just wondering if this approach is something commercially/artistically viable and if the writing for this track is good enough for lead single of an EP
>Denim Legend - Hero >Folk pop >there's a cello bit in the final mix this is just a demo streamable.com/75ojh
ok i'm no fantano so here are my retarded uninformed opinions as a wuss-folk artist:
this is so far out of my normal listening genres man, sorry i can't be more helpful. this is meant to be like a beat that death grips could use or something? again my idiocy is showing. all i can really say is i wish it were more dynamic/less compressed and filled the EQ spectrum a little bit, because nothing's hitting me, not even the kick. otherwise keep up the good work my niqqa
'nobody'... i don't like this vocal delivery, and that's not to say i don't appreciate off-key, human parts, just idk... it sounds like it's been processed with auto-tune and reverb but it sits so far back in the mix and maybe it's not compressed enough. i like synthwave, lo-fi hip hop and porter robinson but this is not for me. sounds kinda loopy, even for such a short track, and the writing is not to my taste. but i'm an idiot
a fellow porter fan i see
Aiden Cox
part 2
ooo are those some none diatonic chords i hear? very impressed ;). real talk though this sounds like the perfect modern update to smashing pumpkins more poppy stuff on mellon collie, though i think corgan is a writing genius so i think there's a bit more to do before you arrive at the destination. chill jamz tho
ok not my genre again so it's hard for me to comment but i'll try my best––bass is a little low in the mix. the vocal sample isn't really fitting to the instrumental i think, it's not terribly pleasant to my ear. there's a lot of potential here i think, i can imagine it sounding more soulful and dancy and hooky. keep it up pupper
very interesting, not my genre but it really takes me somewhere, like i'm not at ease... you clearly have a lot of artistic motivation and direction so i doubt any of my uninformed opinions will be helpful.
Carter Rodriguez
Budapest, Hungary, and it's a one-man project, so it's only me so far
>heavily samples a seagull >lot of bass & hip hop influence >juke influence >second track I ever posted to soundcloud
fav track : ridge. does a good job telling a story. Really like the clapping section at the end too.
I like the composition, i like the way your voice sits in the track. the mix is only being held back by a little too much reverb . >soundcloud.com/serial-chillerr/tracks
definitely hit the mark with the spoopy. i like that you avoided ice cream truck and went for like borderline actually kind of scary. ur bass tells me we'd get along tho
sun@00:00 here, bout to give some RECS and overall feedback/whatever: RECS: Drowning Hypnotist is pretty damn good. Feedback/Whatever >this is meant to be like a beat that death grips could use or something? I don't make music with the Death Grips mindset, it's not really intentional as people seem to make it out, but yeah, sure. Anyways, this isn't bad at all, even though I normally don't listen to stuff like this, but it's got everything it needs, vocals are pretty on point for that style, minimal, but doesn't need anything else. Thank you, glad you dig it. whatever
>Another guy who thinks lo-fi is anime girls, S PA CE D W O R__Dz, same sp sound efx that everyone uses, same drum breaks, drum kits, acapella samples.
You fuckers who just hopped on the bandwagon destroyed this shit. No wonder all the cats who were making this shit in '11 ditched this style.
Nathan Turner
Hey man, same guy here. Sorry I acted like a complete cunt in that post. I had a fucked day and I don't normally go on Sup Forums but I just wanted to blow off some steam. You actually have some really good beats and sequencing. Keep it up, sorry again!
I'm trying to make stuff that expresses my emotions. It's weird yeah, but as I get better at producing music so will my sound. I'd love for you guys to help me get more known but anything will do. Leave any type of feedback ,I'll appreciate it happily.
Hudson Carter
Hi everyone, this is my new single "Dare". I hope you all enjoy it. It tells the story of an abusive relationship.
my first song singing, some chill jazz dark rap i guess, not really sure what genre, would be great if people could give me feedback and also tell me what genre ive made
>electronica >lofi house >synthpop >analog synths and step sequencers
Just starting posting my stuff, will upload more in the future, looking for any feedback, hope u enjoy reccs: this is pretty cool, always like some jangly guitars, followed
Love the hiss on this mix. I've tried to program dnb via analog gear but I haven't successfully done so.
Evan Diaz
I really liked this. Reminds me of modest mouse without being to much like modest mouse
Gabriel Jackson
Cheers buddy, I think I used the Camelcrusher VST plugin
Kayden Rivera
Just listened to the first couple minutes since I'm in the bathroom at work. I really like the tempo change and the contrast between the electric and acoustic parts. I think you could do more to make it flow better. Very hooky though. I like it.
Chase Perez
Just realized you were talking about the vinyl hiss. That's just a separate audio track with a hissing sound
Jordan Thomas
Wait so you didn't record onto tape? That was the hiss I mentioned. I record a bunch of my tracks into tape then compress for maximum ear bleeding.
Austin Turner
I used an SP404SX vinyl sim Max4Live utility some lofi-genius made for Ableton Live that fucks the sample up just right. I'll try to find a link for you
soundcloud.com/tonijuax/srecycles >droneish ambient electronic analog space ballad >just uploaded >i reply so give me some feedbacks on what you think about it
>psychedelic pop >FFO the beach boys, elliott smith, and steely dan

the production on this is cool, but i wish i could hear things pop a bit more. maybe work on attempting more separation between the different elements in the mix. i know dreampop is kinda meant to wash out in a haze, but the haze is a little too much here i think. the chords on the chorus are really cool though, def some good ideas in here
really dig the acoustic/shaker/hand percussion breakdown idea. i'm not the biggest fan of the big muffed lead tone, reminds me too much of Yuck. i'd personally go with something a little more defined. really cool ideas in here though.
immediately reminded me of pinegrove. this shit would be more commercially viable with some more layering like background oohs and aahs and stuff like that. just fill out the sound more so it's not just vocals/guitar. cello might be cool but it also might be too low middy to fill out the sound where you need to fill it out. good song though.
