I do something similar with Pork Chops which is similar and good. You dip the chops in milk, then in bread crumbs (I like Italian seasoned panko), then dip them in a beaten egg and then into finely shredded Parmesan. Then bake it at 350-375 for normal pork chop times.

Goes good with asparagus if you're trying to woo some skank with your cooking skills

It probably was, but it also looks like you burnt the cheese. Try making the fried chicken cutlets, then put the sauce and (parmesan or mozzarella) cheese on top, then bake it. If it comes out soggy, you used too much sauce.

Never intended to be Italian food, it's clearly American. And my grandma was a very callous, very angry, very good German cook. I've had real schnitzel, they ate it so much my dad had a dog named schnitzel. It's good, but not worth the price of the veal. Pork is cheap here in the US, esp after the "swine" flu issues a few years back.

My one assumption is that the cheese was overcooked, and that cheese is overcooked.

Get good quality bratwurst, brown in skillet with a little oil on both sides (just for color, us Americans love color). Then you will need 1 12oz bottle of beer, my favorite is Shiner so that's what I use. Pour whole bottle of beer in with brautworst, bring to low boil. Meanwhile, you will want to slowly cook down your sauerkraut, cook most moisture out, with ham, stock, onion. Add a bit of brown sugar to both kraut and brats. Once beer cooks down to a thick sauce, take out bratwurst and add sauerkraut to the pan with beer sauce, fry for several minuets. The whole process take a little over an hour of slow cooking. I like to use crushed caraway seed, ground pepper, salt, and mustard as spice

Did you quickly torch a golden brown on the outside for color? No. that golden brown was achieved by overcooking the cheese. It's burnt. Burning is literally what turns cheese that color.

If you like it that way, then sure go ahead. I like my eggs burnt, but I'm not retarded enough to argue that they're not overdone.
