Just upgraded to Ryzen, sucks that the 1600X only oc's to 4.0GHz.

bump for less porn threads and more interesting shit on from page

Piece of steel filled with satanic electricity to post cp

"Interesting"

More interesting than "Pics you shouldn't share" threads aka the cancer of Sup Forums

1) you're gay
2) post screenshot of your actual build with speccy
3) Who the fuck still falls for the amd meme in 2000+17?

Phones dead, and I'm so sorry that you're mad about the $500 you spend every year for the same cpu.

k

1) what does a phone have to do with anything?
2) Where did you pull that random number and assumption out of?

I'm not home, and that's the 7700k price in Canada, adjusted for you that would be $400

...

Actually, haven't had to buy a new cpu in about 5 years. Still waiting for AMD to catch up to that. I mean, honestly, AMD is just that shitty.

Who the hell does someone leave home without a charging cable? You dumb, nigga.

And I'm rocking a 3570k who the hell would buy a new top tier every year?

I'd look at the current benchmarks, price to performance for AMD literally can't be matched.

Single core speed?

They have single core speed but multi threaded workloads intel gets shit on.

And what's most important, still, for gaming? Also, single core speed does make everything quite a bit snappier overall, especially since most people don't even tax 4 cores, let alone 8 or more.

What's the worst part about using an AMD?

Telling your dad that you're gay.

...

yeah intel has the better gaming performance but for what I do (Graphic Design/CAD work/Video editing) Ryzen is great for me, plus it's still good for gaming.

ayyyyy

Damn only 8GB? Most of the newer games require 8 as the minimum.

I can't disagree with that, but you're probably using very specialized programs that mostly depend on multi core cpus. Yeah, Ryzen is best for that, I'll agree. It's a niche market, though. I would not recommend it to just anyone.

Oh yeah I completely agree, I tell my friends who are only going to build a gaming PC to go with Intel until AMD releases bios updates or whatever they need to do.

good thing games nowadays are pretty bad, i think the newest game on my pc right now is witcher 3

It won't be bios updates, AMD has to work on single core performance. You can say - but, but, but video games with use more threads someday, then my AMD will be the shit! And you'd be partly right, but single core performance will always win out. Intel will just add more cores.

cleaned up for better visibility
also these temps are under load of League running and a stream

I have been playing The Binding of Isaac. Witcher 3 and Dark Souls 3 are the last decent games I played, tbh. It's just gone to shit.

I5 2700k master race checking in

Not bad. 16gb ram is a little low.

Yeah pretty much the newest games that I've played is Street Fighter 5 and that can run on a potato.

No reason for more. I don't video edit or run CAD at home. Hell I have never even seen it go above 8 to be honest

OP here, I was thinking of going with that before I upgraded to my Ryzen 1600x. How does that do with the current triple A titles?

Breath of the Wild doesn't seem bad. I run Cemu for it. Still, I think it only seems decent right now because the market has been so bleak for so long.

What monitor are you going to be running? If it's not more than 1080p@60 then you don't really need a 1070

I just game and surf the interwebs and I've hit 32 at times. Lots of open tabs, and I do a lot of modding and playing with emulators, etc. 16 isn't at all enough for me.

I play a lot of FPS games so I enjoy having over 150 fps on everything for my 144hz monitor.

This comment makes absolutely no sense at all. Get off the internet now.

Running this in some tiny micro tower (ds3 is running and no air con so heat is up)

how to make this less noisy/hot and how to increase storage best? I still want to run decent graphics settings

I have lots of cash but Im lazy as fuck

Buy an all in one liquid cooler and maybe check your airflow to your gpu.

The 960 is pretty weak. The rest of the system is decent, though.

? I am saying a GTX 1060 can run most games High to Max at 1080p@70. You really don't NEED a GTX1070 for 1080p@60 since you would be maxing all games running frames way over your monitors capability.

Erm, I run an external 30tb NAS for storage.

No. There are a lot of games that don't max right now with just a 1070 on a 1080p@60. Even with a 1080, and that doesn't account for what will be coming out over the next couple years.

Great to know. It doesn't run any game at 1440p i noticed. Any suggestions for cards? Any cards have problem with noise?

>Buy an all in one liquid cooler and maybe check your airflow to your gpu.
im not sure it would fit or if they even sell those in china. pic related

And, technically, you don't NEED to play games at all, right? You could be doing something productive with your time. The point being that a 1080, or even SLI 1080s are not at all wasted on just a 1080p monitor or tv.

If your cable management is good then I'm sure you could most definitely fit a 120mm liquid cooler in it, try to see what you can find over there.

They're made in china.................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

You'll have to research. For noise you can go to water cooled with low noise fans or something. It depends on how crazy you'd go with it. I run SLI 970s, but I want to upgrade. The 1080ti looks nice :D. It really depends on what you want to spend, right? One 960 is a bit slow today, though, and you should really look at upgrading it.

If your case is too small, though, just buy a new, bigger, case.

"No. There are a lot of games that don't max right now with just a 1070 on a 1080p@60"
I just don't know which games you are talking about. The only ones I can think of that wouldn't be well over on a 1070 with no cpu throttle are Wildlands and GTA since those are quite poorly optimized on max settings. I implore you to name 10 games that won't run at 1080p@60 on a 1070 without counting FleX or Hairworks as "max".
"Even with a 1080, and that doesn't account for what will be coming out over the next couple years."
Again unless you upgrade your monitor games are only getting better at optimizing 1080p. I don't see any new AA or AAA games coming out that would be an issue at these resolutions.

ITT: bunch of fags who bought k processors and didn't oc them

...

speccy doesn't show overclocks...

>CPU so boss it OC itself

> using speccy

Rite? These plebs don't know about cpuid

just for you blind folks

>They're talking shit about people who don't use CPUz
>HURRR DURR THEY MUST MEAN ME I BETTER PROVE THEM WRONG!!!!!

I live in asia, not sure how many years contract Ill make here. so I bought a tiny fuck that I can pack in my suitcase. It's seen 4 countries already.

...

>over 150 fps
>144hz monitor
Get a load of this retard

mine is a bit old but it works

lol

...

...

...

sooo why does your 11gb 1080ti have the same memory as a GTX 780 lol

2700k was and is an i7

i dont know but i think its an error because its a pretty new card and they didnt update their data?

>GTX1080 with a 1080p @ 60Hrz
unless you have a VR setup why even do dis

1600 performs the same in gaming average as the i5 7500 while having lower minimum fps and destroying everything in multithreaded.
Only issue is motherboards right now

IT fag here. You bought too big of a power supply and you bought a micro ATX Mobo. With the shitty water cooling you probably won't have heat issues most likely, but the extra power supply wattage is gonna burn off as heat and your GPU will be seated just a couple inches from your processor. There's not much wrong with your build other than some of that shit is just unnecessary and could've been better for same/less money.

Wow upgrade that shit RAM. That frequency shouldn't even exist. DDR4 is up to like 3,000 MHz

wait the G2460 is a 144Hrz monitor why are you running at 60Hrz.....

I can change it back and forth, what do you mean?
Also, I mostly use my graphics card for things like hash cracking, blender, video and photo editing.
I only occasionally play vidya.
Why do I need 144hz to browse the internet?

When in programs like this the speed is half what the actual speed is.....
Just look at everyone else's speeds in this thread

You spent the extra money on 144Hrz and you don't want to use it all the time. What. Why would you ever want a lower refresh rate than possible. Sure it's not as noticable like it is in gaming but even casual mouse movement in browsing on 144Hrz is sooo much smoother than 60Hrz

Problem?

just confused as to why you would ever go lower Hrz, but if you don't want to use the shit you paid for it's your loss.

>the extra power supply wattage is gonna burn off as heat
You're retarded.

Just waiting to stepup to a 1080ti
