recs so far i'd buy this shit in a heartbeat if i wasn't so broke good shit, makes me wanna take cat tranquilizers on the rooftop of an abandoned high-school makes me feel young again, i love the way you randomly shout "YOLO" at the end, it's so jarring and out of left-field that it made me spit dr-pepper all over my laptop ...and i mean that in the best possible way
New song. New week. Would love your feedback on it.
Currently learning how to use Ableton. If you have any pointers please let me know.
Peace and Love. As always
Recs all amazing and original
I remember when soundcloud threads were utter trash and filled with generic trap music. Glad those days are over and that y'all are raising the bar so high for others
Lastly, you can now listen to my stuff on spotify, apple music, tidal etc. if you want too.
wattersonjams.bandcamp.com/album/feel-good-forever >shoegaze with a 90s emo twist and loads of other influences >songs about loss and abuse >ffo: my bloody valentine, sore eyelids, kairon; irse! >free as fuck so give it a download
I'll be back after this weekend to be less of a shill, just only have my phone this weekend and still want people here who haven't heard to have a shot at listening. Is what it is.
Recs: This just came on shuffle, forgot I downloaded it. Good strange vibes.
I haven't really worked in my DAW for a little while and i have tons of stuff to finish recording but i came up with this little prog rock idea that i'm far from being done with and haven't tracked the guitars yet so feel free to criticize it
This is so good, I'm loving the overall vibe. About the only thing I would want different would be just some inflection on the vox...but I may prefer it without it...so who knows. Dope stuff.
I was pleasantly surprised, not doing anything new really but you definitely know what your doing which can make a world of difference.

Sounds like a fucking hangover alright Sweet and chill beats. Distortion is a little too high for my liking but everyone's got their own style holy SHIT nice
Here's something I just posted for anyone interested soundcloud.com/emcf1/okay >lofi >trappy >melancholy >chill
Elijah Wright
Wow this is quite something, good job. This is super fresh.

Armadillo is excellent. Cohesive in spite of great variation. choi min-sik action figure has a really creative opening. Really like when the acoustic comes in. Then the electric comes in and we all start to softly melt away. Very enjoyable track. Overall I think you should consider doing an acoustic album because I think your music really shines when its quiet.
This is really arty. It reminds me a lot of Liars. Love the clashing guitars. Very nice weird stuff
Dream folk. Reminds me a bit of Quasi. I think your music would really benefit from another vocalist. A female vocalist would fit.

i'll second the other comment and say you should try to get a different vocalist or at least EQ your vocals a lot differently. i'd suggest buying an SM58, that mic works extremely well for the multilayered psych vocals approach in my experience and it's cheap as fuck and really dependable. also work on your mixing in general, psych benefits from a lot of compression and not so much reverb. you've got good ideas in here though.
get a real drummer/stop using samples and this shit will be on fucking point. if you ever want to get a vibey drum recording done on the cheap, hit me up at [email protected] and i'll do some remote session work for ya for a small fee.
Thanks! The stuff I'm working on now has a lot of quieter stuff in the vein of some more low key folk country, but also some really explosive droney shoegaze parts so...I mean, I'll think about it for sure. Not likely to do a full acoustic album though, I'm honestly not a talented enough acoustic guitarist to make anything as original, let alone anything I'd be proud of.
I'm bookmarking this since I'm on vaca and just checking up in the bathroom, but I love Elliott Smith so I'm planning on giving your album a full listen.
And I'll keep you in mind, I really want to have real drums but yeah...solo project and I'm a drum pleb, can't play for shit. I'll hit you up about rates, most people haven't even realized I was using ezDrummer but I think it's obvious too
just posted this track a few minutes ago.. alternative rap with thoughtful lyrics. the final track of my second tape. this one is more chill/somber than the rest.
the chord progression in general is kinda cheesy not the biggest fan of the sample i guess
that synth that plays at :20 is rly repetitive the 808s are cool but reaaaally loud
drums arent very lofi .. i think they could use more effects on most of yr tracks all the tracks are a little too minimal and same-y imo
i like it but i prefer the original .. less busy
beat is a lil too cheesy for me delivery sounds kinda forced idk
damn .. quite a banger ngl could be longer and could build / progress more is all i gotta say
synths sound like presets, drum samples are really dry, and the vocal snippets are all kinda obnoxious not sure if i'd call it trip hop
synths sound like presets and could use more effects maybe .. drum sounds are kinda dry as well those random synths playing at 1:35 are really out of place and the variation on the synth after that sounds odd
lyrics, background vocals, and chord progressions are all too cheesy for me but it's well produced, props on doing it all by yrself
very cheesy but it seems like thats what you were going for .. very goofy trap hihats as well
cant believe yr charging money for this
the mobb deep(?) vocal on Nuthin is at a completely different bpm than the beat :/
its cozy but the drums dont really fit how lofi the synth is
that midi piano sounds like a midi piano the tupac vocal doesnt match the bpm of the constant kick drum going thru the track :/
Right now I don't have the confidence to post my tracks on soundcloud or something like that, so I'm kinda missing the point of the thread. But still I'd really like to have some feedback on this new instrumental I made. Nobel price for the one who recognizes the sample: clyp.it/mkzfdgp1 >noisy electronic music >if you now how to classify it let me know
