The more and more I get into composing, the less music sounds like cohesive music and the more It just sounds like the sum of its parts. Like it sounds like a bunch of instruments playing at once where I can focus on each and every instrument individually but can no longer listen to the song as a whole.

Basically I can't even listen to music anymore, all of my favorite songs just sounds like layers of tracks stacked on top of each other and mixed in a studio. Anyone else know this feel? How do I just go back to enjoying things for what they are?

Listen to more wall-of-noise type things, shoegaze and such, lofi shit, try The Angelic Process

hiddensongs.bandcamp.com/album/scratched-pavement-2

Well, I haven't posted in a while, at least since last summer or so.

Here is my last album, its almost a year old. I had about 30 demos following that but I decided to take them down and try to refine my songwriting for a proper release and then try to shop it around to labels.

>LoFi Pop, Weird, Experimental

Feedback still appreciated, I usually do respond and do in depth critiques, but im feeling depressed and tired tonight.

Vocals sound like Twenty One Pilots (which is bad in my books), instrumentals are bland and don't really go anywhere. Best track is "S t r o b e H e l l o". You've got promise.

This hurts me on a personal level, but I can see why. I just natural have a higher voice. I didn't want to get to shreddu with the guitar, I felt like it would detract from the atmosphere I wanted to make. But thank you kindly for your listens

Don't take what I said too seriously. Keep going with what you're doing, you'll eventually get better at it.

3teeth.bandcamp.com/

Probably old news to Sup Forums

I'm not, I'm only 19, still got lots to learn.
Also what's your stuff? Are you on this thread?

danielgillett.bandcamp.com/album/paragram

I just make really basic psychedelic and progressive rock stuff. You're music is probably better than mine though.

While not necicarly groundbreaking. It's a pretty sold predormice. I fell like some songs go on far to long at that you have a bit to much effects on your guitar, but that may just be me.

I pretty much agree, some tracks do go on for too long, especially the first track. I would like to focus more on composition in the future, rather than just using effects on everything and making long jams that don't go anywhere.
