Agree with this
Just admire Jeremy Soule my friend, he did it all.

The best. Morrowind's soundtrack is nearly perfect, really conjures a sense of wonder in me even all these years later.
I was watching some Oblivion gameplay on youtube and the music in that game is also very good, much better than how I remembered.
see
still GOAT
i'm assuming remixes are allowed so make way for the GOAT

Pretty much anything from Guilty Gear

Blazblue also has nice tracks

Gives me chills every time.
Soule is one of my favourites, I don't think I've heard anything he's done that I dislike.
I disagree with some of the decisions the producers made, in terms of including Morrowind tracks on the Skyrim soundtrack, but that's no fault of his.
AOE had some great tunes too. I remember putting game CDs in a CD player (I don't know why) and there'd be music on them sometimes. Such was the case with the AOE discs.
ayyy this nigga knows where it's at
>all these metal ITT
poor taste user, you know the Genesis OST was the peak for Kombat

I'd say my all time favorite OST song would be this, even though I never played it

Good video game music is contextual.

Link's Awakening had a pretty good OST despite being for GB.

Also, there's a cat named Cory Johnson who did a bunch of post-rock versions of Legend of Zelda tunes and put it up on Bandcamp for free. I think he posted it here when he released it, actually. I know I definitely found it on Sup Forums when it came out.
the entire thing is fucking GOAT
>including Morrowind tracks on the Skyrim soundtrack
whoa which ones?
that feel when 5 years old and cousin brings the sega over

Apparently the "incorporation" goes a bit further than I realised/noticed, actually.
play oldschool user its never too late
the silt sunrise is obviously jerall mountains holy shit. It's just exploration music which i think is totally okay even more immersive having played morrowind i m o.
>not including build mode 6

it's probably for the best that we never got a sequel, it means the memories of a fun game remain intact

The one truly patrician game OST.
I do play Oldschool and it's actually pretty fun. But it obviously doesn't have the same charm it did before, the community has gotten was too efficacy orientated, and almost every update too the game has made it more like RS3.
The ending song for the first Mass Effect was sublime. Good band too.
ugh that shredding just to shred. needs to learn how to be melodic and get interesting with those scales
Can't really do a thread about video games OST without posting this song
why are you posting all this shit from the same bloke i mean he's alright but it's nothing special, just kinda wanky. Out of the three or so I've checked out, the original versions are better.
not old school enough for me. I miss this version.
not a huge fan of the game, but I loved this song

also, it's interesting to me that mu has better vidya discussion than v
this is from metal gear solid 3 btw
i have yet to play Metroid Prime in its entirety, but i recently played the first hour or so on dolphin and when this music came on i was so impressed by how the game handles atmosphere that i decided to stop the game and play it on gamecube instead.
