Colorado sounds pretty darn good dude. Only thing I'd say is that the vocals kind of have a disproportionate amount of reverb compared to everything else.

Threw a couple bucks yr way for brand new razorblades quad-daddy

They definitely do, was kind of an aesthetic choice but I might throw more reverb on the guitars next time, even if it's just a little. Definitely reverbing the drums more, they seem way too bare every time I listen to them now.

This is catchy and fun, kinda wish the main riff was a little less robotic but then again...doesn't really need to be crazy? Just chill beach tunes. Like the build up to the chorus-y part.

I feel like Sup Forums doesn't appreciate hardcore as much as it should. Cool to see an user who fucks with it every once in a while.

Catacombs was a nice track. Gang vocals and the breakdown at the end rip.

i like all these takes on their respective genres

back for more folks, been away on vaca for too long

Pretty blatant orchid tapes worship but it's fun, I did listen to the new track and it's just way too sloppy for me to get into it. Some sloppy can work and even be really enjoyable but it's all over the place. Album you linked is solid though, the lyrics add a lot to it. Still sloppy and pretty basic instrumentation but it just feels raw and emotional as opposed to the newer track that just felt like it was done lazily in one go. Really like the vibes on what went wrong. Downloaded.

Did you listen to a lot of Brand New growing up? This feels like you listened to a lot of Brand New growing up, on pretty much every track now that I think about it.

Chord progression bones starts out with is super strong. That said, lack of strong vocals can work with this style of music but this is suuuuuuper monotone and feels like it lacks any sort of emotion. I think that's what you're going for too, given the lyrical content, but I can't get into it unfortunately.

It kind of feels like if The Mountain Goats were really stripped down, both instrumentally and emotionally. I want to dig parts of it since it resonates lyrically, but I can't. Ah well. There's my crappy crit.

Rec'd hard:

if you haven't listened yet, you're missing out. I might message you about either a collab or split later desu, don't know if you'd even be interested but I've been listening to Any Gracious Heart a ton

Just really solid, catchy dream pop tunes. The kind of thing you really appreciate driving down a highway with the windows down at 10 PM when it's still kinda hot outside

Am Thanks for the download! Yeah that new track is exactly what you said, it's mostly me just fucking around with some synths, done pretty quickly.

And yeah brand new was the shit I played on loop in high school from like '08 through '11 and Orchid Tapes was practically all I listened to in college so it's not shocking at all those were the initial comparisons.

Glad you dug some tracks on that release!

I've got a new album coming up really soon, so keep an eye out if you enjoy this. It's gonna be great, and this is pretty alright too.

I like the songwriting here! You've got some solid melodies that wrap around quick chord changes, it's all very well put together. I hate it when people talk like that to me because it sounds condesending but I promise I'm not being condesending. I think on the production side of things, things are a little bit too clean. I'm not sure how much or how little you mixed this, but the midrange frequencies seem to be gutted on the guitars. you've got plenty of earspace to work with so use it! Add in a rythm guitar on top or something! The drums could probably be brought forward (maybe more compressed?) The melodies are gonna deliver the punches just fine, but the fuller sound would demand people's attention and make the punches harder

really love this - almost every aspect! I DO however, take issue with the mastering. If this is mastered by you then that's understandable and my advice would be to use a slower release on the compression, maybe just less heavy handed in general. If you PAID for this mastering (and it wasn't like, your friend or anything) then that guy didn't deserve your money. Somebody obviously put a lot of thought and care into the mixing, it's a little sad to have the sound all warped by the mastering

really love this, it sounds solidly professional and all your samples blend together really naturally. I love Toon\\loop for the pitch bend effects you've got going on. Some tracks feel a little like they're not going anywhere and sometimes that's okay - that said, sometimes it's not and it feels like there's unrealized potential in the songs.
