Can anyone help me figure this one out?

Can anyone help me figure this one out?

Is this real? 10 years?!

After 10 years, all these cheap electronic components made in China have rotten away, making the power supply go BOOM in a gigantic explosion. The answer is 0 for all 4 values.

V1 = 5V
I1 = 5A
I2 = 5A
I3 = 0A

This

0 in all
if its closed it doesnt let any energy go through the circuit i think

THIS

Correct

it is held closed for 10 years, so after 10 years, it is opened.

0 goes in all fields

Thank you Sup Forums stay tuned for more bullshit

not OP but why is v1 5 instead of 10

voltage divider V1 = R1/(R1+R2) since L1 is negligible

because taxes

Resister divider. Because resistors are same value 10 is split between them.

EE here work on farm though.

Wrong
Don't forget the self induction of the coils and the load on the capaciator
The time of measurement is the same as the opening of the switch

Closed means the switch is on, open means the switch is off.

...

next question

I take note.

thank god i dont use this crap anymore. I'm a power engineer. We only work with kilo amps ;-)

but wouldn't the full voltage still be getting to node 1? I thought the Voltage drop would be after the resistors

btw - I don't know electronics - I thought V would be like 10v / 1ohm ( R1) or something.

why is R2 included, isn't it after N1?

The voltage is across each resistor in the network based on the resistor vale the voltage will be different across each one. If they where the same value then the voltage would divide evenly among them.

I work at an electronics manufacturing workshop (very small, I do everything from shipping to production to admin) but I am not very skilled with electronics

I do basic repairs on our products (finding dead LED's with different failure modes etc) and electronics interests me.

I may take over the company in 1 or 2 years, due to other factors.

Do you recommend a bachelor's study in electronics?

a. 5V
b. 5A
c. 5A
d. 0A

...

i'm actually Mechanical engineer, but there making me do this crap. so idk...

I'm too but in bed so you're out of luck. Not gonna get out

Fun, how did you end up where you are?

I was doing engineering but I got bored out of my mind because it was too easy, dropped out. before that I was doing chemistry at uni for 2 years, but that didn't go so well. Both were my 'passion' at some point but I don't know where to go from here. I'd like to get a bsc before 2021 because then I don't have to pay back my student loans, but right now I'm at a loss

you gotta do voltaje division between the components:

Vr=(Vtotal*Zr)/Zr+ZL+ZC
and so on..

to obtain ZL=jwL, ZC=-(j/wC)
w: frequency
j: imaginary unit

After 10 years the fucking battery would be dead
0V

Nah. Just get some books, test equipment and some parts. Hopefully your level of interest will motivate you to get good. EE here.

man, im a chemical engineer

I got a taste of this shit in Physics II, and circuits are magnetism are actual magic to me

lol OP is a dumbass. better switch majors to business school

inductors are SHORT at Dc and caps are open

at high frequency inductors are open and caps are short

you fucked up 100x mang

inductor becomes short-circuit
capacitor becomes open circuit
no current goes through capacitor branch -> i3=0
all current goes through inductor branch -> i1=i2
add resistances to eq circuit of 1 , 2ohm resistor
I=V/R, I=i1=i2=5 Amps

test was easy, apply yourself OP

Correct!

Correcto

i forgot a parenthesis:
it should be like this (Zr+ZL+ZC)

Every answer is 0

Look at the power source symbol. That's not a generator, those are batteries. Ever heard of a battery holding its charge for 10 years? Only thing drier than the battery will be the capacitor.
