What tier of a sport city will San Diego fall to without the Chargers?

What tier of a sport city will San Diego fall to without the Chargers?

Won't be bad cucks still have the thunder nig ball team

turbo-meme tier

As long as the Raiders move to Vegas it'll feel alright

Saigon Tier

I can't believe they're allowing the Chargers to move into SD's biggest rival city.

Having the only baseball team in the majors to not only never pitch a no hitter but also be the most no hit team in history. The Padres are shit and will forever be shit.

the same as they are now.

How big of a rival is LA and SD?

>American sports teams can just move to another city

What did they mean by this?

shit sport city

loyal to the padres which is nice
what did he mean by this?

they're already shit, so what tier is lower than that?

>assuming there is any lower tier to fall

SD is rock bottom already m8

Mid 2000s Chargers sold out though.

It's a one-sided rivalry but SD hates LA like Philly hates NY.

>Raiders have moved to LA before
>Lakers moved to LA (no name change, no lakes in LA)
>Clippers moved to LA (no name change, SD has big boating community)
>Angels moved to Anaheim but still call themselves Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
>Rams moved from LA, then back again
>Chargers might be moving to LA
>all of California's major league sport teams will eventually move to LA
super fucking ultra gay amigo

It'll go from C Tier to D Tier

La will go from AA to AAA Tier.

>padres and gulls
>aztecs
that's comfy tier
san diego needs to be more comfy. chargers can get out.

> LA Sports city
LA is so plastic and fake its sickening. People out there like whatever is cool and relevant to like. No one has a spine when it comes to sports. Just whatever accumulates the most Instagram likes

San Diego should have never been given sports teams in the first place. Its a tourist city with a lot of old people transplants. No one actually cares about the local teams.

>03▶
>>padres and gulls

all sports are comfy, bitch. less sports = less opportunity for comfy.

you retards are stupid for not wanting a football team.

sports are only comfy if you don't care about the outcome. too many people care about the chargers it's toxic. nice trips fwiw.

At least SD is above Sacramento

> unironically using toxic
literally tumblr/reddit the word

omfggggg you found me out

Same tier

San Diego was irrelevant with the Chargers
San Diego will continue to be irrelevant without the Chargers

What do you mean by this?

Cuck. This is going to be the second team that LA takes from San Diego. Yes, SD took the Chargers from them first, but not only did LA not care, it went about it's business, met the Chargers at a bar while the Chargers and LA were back home for Thanksgiving and San Diego woke up the next day with a text from the Chargers saying they think they should see other people. Not only that, but by taking the Chargers from SD, LA is also taking away a portion of the collective failure that makes San Diego arguably the city most deserving of a professional Championship because of the long term inability of local professional sports teams to be able to win one. You might think that'd be a good thing, but arguably being the worst sports city in the country is at least something San Diego could put a feather in, and now they won't even have that. They'll go from the only major West Coast Metropolitan area with two professional teams who've never won a Championship to that chill place South of LA that has the Padres.

When a current sports franchise is in a city and that city won't provide the funding for a new stadium, they go to a city that will

How likely is it that San Diego will get an NBA team? Or maybe Bettman will be retarded and relocate an NHL team here.

not enough nigs for NBA. Their AAA hockey team gets 9k a game so they might get an NHL team to appease the mexicans

>How likely is it that San Diego will get an NBA team?

SD lost the clippers already. That's what the abandoned San Diego Sports Arena was built for that houses the big ass swap n shop now.

Why do they need a new stadium in the first place

That's tax payer money

Because Qualcomm is one of the oldest still in use, most likely of any professional team. It is falling apart, and doesn't have the amenities that are necessary to draw a consumer from a home or bar with a big screen (that provides a better image than you'd have at the stadium) and fridge full of beer (that'll cost significantly less than the beer at the stadium would) and also pony up to purchase a ticket that'll minimally cost you $100 for crap seats.

The funny thing about a new stadium being tax payer money is that the Chargers just proposed a method to have their new stadium paid for not by local taxpayers, who may or may not have a vest interest in what goes on there, but consumers who would be visiting San Diego, and staying in hotels that run a high enough rate that just being able to pay the price of admission would mean that the tiny additional tax they'd be tasked with paying wouldn't be a dealbreaker for them. Even with the additional tax put on, the new tourism tax rate would have still been ranked lower than 16 other metropolitan areas without the scenery, weather, and culture of San Diego, and on top of all of that, had they got the new Convadium, they would have also gained a convention center expansion that the city has been trying to accomplish for as long as they've wanted a new stadium, if not longer, and that would generate additional potential to the local economy, and given the facility potential use beyond the 20ish days a year Qualcomm (and therefore the land around it as well) is used at the moment. That doesn't even touch on the revitalization that could have come to the East Village, one of San Diego's ugliest parts of town, like Petco brought the Gaslamp, which had been comparably shady beforehand, or the fact that all that land surrounding the Q was already being planned to be used to develop expansion campuses for one if not two local universities, as well as a smaller, appropriately college sized stadium that might have also been used by an expansion MLS team that the owner of the developer who would have done all of this development currently has the rights to own, should that team ever become a reality.

Who cares about all of that though! We can't have the free market pay for a stadium because Spanos would benefit 10 days a year, because his special council said bad things about us, so we're going to cut our nose to spite our face. San Diegans are children.

t. chargers president

I don't know what you just said but I believe you.

I wish. If that were the case, I'd issue a statement telling Chargers fans that San Diego is the home of the Chargers, vow not to take them anywhere, and to keep working to find a way to build a new stadium for them in San Diego as long as it took, because the city, fans and their love of the organization is what matters most to me as owner of it.

Already do, hue. Different sport though.

It's just crazy that they're going to plop the Chargers in San Diego's #1 city competitor

It's like the Pats being sent to NYC...at least from SD's perspective.

But isn't that completely one way?

Yes, but that means the fact that the only one side cares means it doesn't matter that one side is getting screwed, and that it is the side that cares, or that the side that doesn't care doesn't even want what they're getting?
