is that Rick from Pawn Stars?

Pretty damn good song, better than anything the nu-Pixies have produced. Guess he needed the paycheck

Oh come on, Indie Cindy was kinda shaky but Head Carrier is a good album

Reminds me that this Bowie song was originally going to be in the Rugrats movie but was scrapped for some reason, he re-recorded it a few years later.

no its hank

lowkey I fapped to the PPG once

No, they both suck

>never going to see pixies at their best

The creator of the Powerpuff Girls was a big Frank Black fan and managed to get his number and phone him up and ask him. Turns out Frank liked the show.

I saw Pixies in 2011 for the Doolittle anniversary tour. They're one of my favorite bands ever, and one of the main reasons I ever learned an instrument/made music.

That being said, it was the worst show I've ever been to. They came on, stood still in place, and played through the record front to back, without uttering one word to the audience besides "hello" and "goodbye". They begrudgingly played Where is My Mind as an encore and then went on their merry way. Don't think it lasted longer than an hour. What a miserable time. I wish I never went because it poisoned the image of one of my favorite acts for me.

It was 2009, not 2011. Whoops. Christ it's been a long time.

>wahhhh no stage banter

poor baby

Stage banter is literally the best part of the live experience. If I wanted the record note for note I would have stayed home and listened to the CD. Would have sounded better anyway.

>that time when black tried to blame Nirvanas for their lack of mainstream success even though it was really because frank was too much of a self indulging hipster faggot to pursue their own musical career. Now hes going through a mid life crisis making shitty music, who remember?

>expecting more from an artist instead of just enjoying the music theyve made

If it were the first show I'd ever seen sure, but I had seen 10 concerts before seeing this one and they were all similarly priced. 10 were massively entertaining, 1 was Pixies. I love their music, but that was a terrible show. They just seemed really disinterested in the whole thing.

Shonen Knife, DEVO, and Apples in Stereo all made Powerpuff Girls songs too

I saw them back in 2005 or so when they had just recently reunited and it was the same thing. It was still a good show... I mean, it's the Pixies and they were totally on-point. But that's how they always are. No bullshit, just play the songs. Remember that they fired Kim Shattuck because she stage-dived and was too "extroverted". I remember listening to Frank when he was on Sound Opinions and he was talking about how every time he sees a beach ball or inflatable shark or whatever being thrown around in the audience, he wants to stop the show and say "No, put that away. We're not that kind of band."

Remember this guys?

wait I forgot to mention Mos Def was in this

Was this before or after he threw a guitar at Deal's head?

he did that? how dare he touch muh waifu
