Libertarian Party increases a spike in new membership rates.
Google searches for "Libertarian Party" spike massively.
The Fire Rises. The time for Liberty is now.
Dump Trump. He is an authoritarian statist. Drump Bernie. He will not get the nomination, and Hillary is a lying neocon. DO NOT VOTE HILLARY. DO NOT VOTE TRUMP.
>end game Yeah, because our country will be in ruins after his term. Should just have him pick killary for VP so it happens faster.

>country flooded with illegals This is caused by excess government. Open borders plus a welfare state result in floods of poor people. Significantly reduce welfare and we will have a reduction in illegals. Also make acquiring visas and citizenship more reasonable. More workers means more people buying products. More people buying products means more money for businesses to hire and invest.
>wages down Wages are down because of excess government. High taxes, Obamacare, excess regulation drive down wages. Money that would otherwise go to investing in new projects and higher pay/benefits instead goes to the Government and lawyers to navigate the ocean of regulation.
>crime skyrockets Violent crime rates have actually been on a long decline. We can further reduce this by ending the war on drugs, which criminalizes victimless self indulgence, and creates a black market where criminals thrive peddling a high demand low supply product. High non-violent incarceration rates create career criminals out of otherwise good people, increasing likelihood of repeat offense once they are released.
>b-but at least we got our liberty right guys? Liberty is the most important thing you can have. "Give me Liberty of give me death!"
Nathaniel Mitchell
I finally got around to reading the rights of man this week
why is this pushed aside for the communist manifesto.... srsly why is the whole life liberty and property thing hated by our generation
Grayson Rivera
people don't like responsibility.
Brandon Morgan
Our generation (Assuming you mean Millennials, Gen X) has grown up in a nanny state, spoiled by boomer parenting. Most of us know no better, and feel that only more government is the only solution, because they were never told what true Liberty is. They blame capitalism for the world's problems, when in fact, it is crony capitalism and over-regulation that is causing so many problems.
Anthony Wood
My problem with him is he's poor in debate, preferring ad hominem to criticizing platform points. While I don't agree with everything Johnson says I think he's the best bet for getting enough votes to break the bipartisan stranglehold and get a 3rd party recognized on a national level. Regardless, good to see other freedom lovers on here amidst all the Trumpters and Shillarists.
Brandon Barnes
>Liberty is the most important thing you can have. "Give me Liberty of give me death!" So haven't you started a libertarian insurrection against the "tyrannical" government?

>So haven't you started a libertarian insurrection against the "tyrannical" government? He's scoping out government birdwatching buildings as we speak.
Samuel James
Why do that when we still have a legislative option? This country is not yet so far gone that guns are the only hope.
Jason Wood
I think if he was put up against trump and hillary he could stand his ground. Gary gives up a little too easy and when flustered he gets red in the face. Comparing APs early speaking to now it's massive how much he's improving and I think he'll do an amazing job if given the chance.
But I've seen people say similar things, and you do have a point.
These are way to obviously. It reads like middle school level modern english, not the writing of a highly education man in the late 18th century.
Michael Robinson

Reminder that Gary Johnson is a fake libertarian.
Alexander Sanders
Hillary wont switch any state blue that's solid red so should mention that too.. So basically unless you live in the couple counties in the few states that matter your vote has more power as libertarian.
I am voting for Trump. Yes, I know he is pro-NSA. Yes, I know he is protectionist.
But Libertarians need to get their priorities in order. Everything that America was once respected and known for is gone. Hell, I would argue being "conservative" means conserving our old traditions of liberty, freedom, etc.
Plus, I am in Ohio. I am voting for Trump and would advise the rest of you Libertarians to do the same. Right now, my priority isn't some unachievable ideal; it is preserving and protecting us against the horrors of socialism and leftism. Because of this, I'm getting in to Make America Great Again.

I would agree. That is something I admired when watchign the prime minister debates for the UK. Greens/Lib Dems/Conservative/Labor/UKIP etc were all up there going at it.
It was a good time. I wish they would at least bring the Libertarian candidate on stage against the dems and republicans but its all about the $$ I guess
Leo Jones
Strategic votes are wasted votes.
Cameron Butler
In addition, this country won't be much different after either 8 years of Trump or 8 years of Hillary. We will be pretty much the same after either. The main difference with Trump is that we will have an embarrassing 1/16th finished wall to tear down.
Ayden Ortiz

Hunter Reed
Epic bait, but I'll bite anyway, since I will just pull you off of your boat and drown you.
>don't unionize for higher wages! Unions almost always end up stagnating wages, making businesses non-competitive, and are always corrupt. They rarely help the worker, and mainly serve as income for the Union workers.
>outsourcing is good because it lowers prices at wal-mart! We wouldn't need outsourcing nearly as much if taxes were lower and we didn't have excess regulations choking American businesses.
>tariffs are always bad goy, remember Smoot-Hawley? getting ripped off a is a good thing! Tariffs usually just end up increasing the cost of product to Americans, not protecting American business, especially when taxes and regulations still make American manufacturing financial suicide.
>we have to let fags be themselves goy, you don't want big guvmint involved in your sex life do ya? I pretty much agree with this entirely. If someone is going to be a fag, they are going to be a fag, whether it is illegal or not. You will simply drive them underground. Authoritarianism. Government regulated morality is anything but.
>open borders are good goy, it means GDP growth during population declines! We need to fix our immigration system and massively reduce welfare programs. Welfare + open borders never works. Libertarians know this.
>don't feed the sick and the poor, the free market has spoken and it says they should starve! With massively reduced taxes, people will have more income left over to donate to charity. In addition, people are less likely to run charities when they are literally competing against the government. Less welfare = more charity. Less government = less jobs loss = less homeless. Ending the war on drugs will be a huge step to reducing poverty in this country, further reducing the need for welfare and charity.
Think things through before you post, please.
Levi Wood
>protecting us against the horrors of socialism and leftism He literally just backtracked on government healthcare and minimum wage. Good luck with that.
Jaxon Gonzalez
>implying American populism and nationalism is the same as socialism. Come on m8.
Not when you live in a swing state. Presidents need Ohio.
I think 8 years of Trump would be VERY different from Hillary. Once again you guys are too idealistic. That's fine and good, but you're never going to go from 1% of the popular vote to 33% without having more mainstream views first and then working towards the ideal.
Easton Morris
Ron Paul for Secretary of the state 2016

I would love if we had a real libertarian party in this nation.
Unfortunately, no Libertarian party is running the God Emperor.
Build up your party a bit first m8, this isn't your year.
Also, nice divide and conquer thread, faggot shill. Kill yourself and as always, BUILD WALL
Dylan Williams
>i'd love a real libertarian party >supports someone almost exact opposite of that party This is the defining year for the party and offers the three major branches the party can take. Liberal leaning: Gary Johnson, Centrist+Public works: John McAfee, Right leaning: Austin Petersen.
Currently The leader is Gary with Austin closing the gap every day and could pull a massive upset. Austin and McAfee are starting to really show they support each other. So this is a huge shot to push the party to the right and appeal to people who don't support trump.
Carson Bennett
>a literal who beating another literal who >massive upset

Do you think a open border, or abolishment of the welfare state, will be the first thing the people flocking to the Libertarian party will support?
Aiden Hernandez
Keep telling yourself that, bootlicker.
William Long
>Unions almost always end up stagnating wages AHAHAHAH
just ignore how wages have gone down since the 80s when Reagan destroyed the unions
>We wouldn't need outsourcing nearly as much if taxes were lower
outsourcing is caused by companies seeking lower wages, dumbass
>tariffs usually just end up increasing the cost of product to Americans,
which means higher wages for Americas
>If someone is going to be a fag, they are going to be a fag,
kek
>We need to fix our immigration system you aren't a very good libertarian
>With massively reduced taxes, people will have more income left over to donate to charity.
That's not how the economy works
the government doesn't need taxes to afford anything. Deficits don't matter.
Libertarians are so oblivious to the real world.
Jaxson Jackson
Okay, well this is also a crucial year for actually making our country great again. I'm supporting Trump this election. I switched to Republican just to vote for him in the Primaries, but feel no love for the party. After this election I'll probably switch back to Independent (my state doesn't officially have any other party affiliations than those three, in terms of how they view them)
Adam Wright

>just ignore how wages have gone down since the 80s when Reagan destroyed the unions m8 there is a thing called automation and technology. Correlation doesn't equal causation, zero conditional mean, etc.
>outsourcing is caused by companies seeking lower wages, dumbass Yes, but they might be more inclined to stay and reinvest money if corporate taxes were lowered.
>which means higher wages for Americas Not necessarily but more or less correct.

you heard it here first folks!
In reality the only thing that affects wages is supply and demand (like everything else) and since there's no demand for labor anymore because all the jobs are in China it's not hard to figure out what happened.
>money if corporate taxes were lowered.
That has literally never worked. It already failed when Bush tried it. Companies will always go where wages are lowest to save money on labor costs.
>This is somewhat true at least for the American economy/government.
It's true for every government that issues it's own currency (basically every government outside the EU)
Jonathan Davis
I bet the MAGA hat I got today that this sudden spike in Libertarian Party shilling on Sup Forums is from shillary false-flaggers trying to fool people into not voting Republican so the Democrats get an easy win.

Rand lost all credibility when he came out against the Iran deal.
Also I lost my Rand folder
does anyone have the pic of him standing on the pallets?
Xavier Martinez
As a former libertarian I have to tell you that the libertarian party will never win. Your average 90 IQ person is way too stupid to understand the subtle nuances of "just because you don't like it doesn't mean you have to do it or condone it."
That being said libertarian ideas have a lot of short comings in a globalized world. In short, there's no way for anyone to truly get ahead, or even get by when you have hordes of slave labor. Libertarian ideals are great in theory, but in practice they just don't work. NatSoc is the best way to go with the way things currently are.
Eli Kelly
>against the deal He said he is for the deal but it shouldn't have been snuck around congress and it should have had releasing hostages connected.
Libertarians should vote for Trump because he will stop the left from gaining power. If we stop the influx of future democrats, we can focus on abolishing the state.
Julian Long
Can someone give me some examples of succesful libertarian countries?
Christian Gutierrez
He straight up lied about Iran's intentions and his base found out
>While the Obama administration claims “this would prevent them from getting a nuclear weapon,” said Paul, Ayatollah Khamenei “is saying the opposite.” In fact, Khameni is “already saying, well, this isn’t really any limitation on our ability to make a weapon.”
>Paul repeated the claim after the hearing during an appearance on Fox Business:
>I made a point that the ayatollah is now saying that the deal does not prevent them from having a nuclear weapon and I thought that’s precisely what the deal is supposed to do, so I don’t know how we can have an agreement that President Obama says means one thing, John Kerry says means one thing, but the ayatollah says doesn’t mean that at all.
>What neither Fox nor Politico reported is that Khamenei has said no such thing. “The Americans say they stopped Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon,” is what the ayatollah has in fact stated. “They know it’s not true.” Read uncharitably, one could perhaps interpret this statement as sinister, but for one thing – it is immediately followed by this: “We had a fatwa, declaring nuclear weapons to be religiously forbidden under Islamic law. It had nothing to do with the nuclear talks.” An unambiguous assertion that Iran never wanted a nuke has been twisted into a statement that no one can stop the Islamic Republic from getting one.
>This isn’t a case of a bad translation: It’s a conscious lie of omission from a politician who wants to have it both ways: to be perceived as a friend of peace even as he tosses red meat to the dogs of war, an act that alienates those who would otherwise be his energized base and yet still hasn’t won him any friends at The Weekly Standard. The libertarians I spoke to were all a bit demoralized by it: economy-crashing sanctions are a form of war and Rand is making a full-on one more likely.
Dominic Richardson
>some unachievable ideal What, breaking the 2 party system's back over our collective knees? Yes, it's quite achievable in fact.
Grayson Adams
Early America is one example, but there haven't been many examples of libertarian countries because its not in the state's interest to make itself have less power.
Leo Ward
So Paul said Iran will get a nuke anyways? Thats true though.
Alexander Reed
Right, we should have no government. But if we can't get that, we should have a monarchy.
Ayden Wright
Early America had a federal government
Washington even led an army against people that refused to pay taxes
I'm sure most Libertardians would call that "oppression"
