If you read Genesis 1 from the perspective of God being a programmer creating a simulation of the universe, with humans representing his own race it actually makes sense. From Genesis 1 it appears to be either a description of someone creating a simulation, OR we are the outer layer of a matryoshka world.

It's not a fantasy story it's the most probable explanation to our reality. As soon as one species hits the ability to simulation universes or portions of universes it becomes increasingly more likely that you are within one of the simulations and not in the base reality.
