Man. These threads are seriously dead huh? Drop off a link and that's it. Bah.

Glad you could dig it. Mix on yours is absurdly clear, I love the piano flourishes throughout too. Makes it feel pretty different. Maybe a little too poppy to be something I'd regularly seek out, but it reminds me a little of As Tall As Lions who I used to listen to a lot. Full length is coming out a while later yeah?

I'd love for you to take a look at mine later tomorrow, but I saw you just got to sleep so that's that. I'm enjoying yours quite a bit, but having it as one giant song instead of broken up into segments is admittedly something I'm having trouble with. Like, there are plenty of albums I listen to where it flows like one piece of music, but having it all as a single track just throws me off some. That said, I like this a lot, it's very comforting and optimistic, love the way the piano sits in it over the static. Got around 20 minutes in and I'll try to revisit it later.

Hey everyone what's a good program that can be used to sample/cut/loop audio? I downloaded the free version of FL but that bullshit doesn't even let you save unless you buy the whole shabang. Do I have any good options for Windows?

Huh that's so funny man I stumbled across your stuff on YouTube a while back and really enjoyed it. I tried reaching out to you on lastfm or something but found nothing. Great to hear you're still at it.

I really like this. Very upbeat and nice tempo in the beginning, and the slow parts in the middle and end are cleanly shifted to. The shift midway through the song is well-placed and I think that the lyrical build-up shortly after that really ties the whole song together, otherwise it would make sense to split it into two shorter tracks.
>unless you're in a car
kek
I started listening to your preivous track but suicidal music doesn't really do it for me so I turned it off. I think you should make more boom bap rap.

Not for me. Far too slow, sleepy, and long. If that's what you were going for then good job, just not something that I can get in to.

I couldn't find a comfortable listening volume. During quiet parts I had to turn the sound up to hear anything, and then it shifted to a loud part and my ears hurt.
I think that I see what you were trying to do with "vaportrail", but it just sounds like someone took old western songs and changed the playback speed and volume.
I tried switching to headphones instead of speakers, and that helped with the volume variation (I was able to hear quieter parts better so I could turn the volume down enough that loud parts didn't hurt).
6 is my favorite track, but I do think that the line repetition gets a bit dull. If there was more variation I think that that track would have nailed it.
"The American Dream" should be split up into multiple tracks I think.

Maybe my headphones are shit but I think that the vocals are way too quiet relative to the rest of the music. Other than that it's comfy. Nice mix of sleepy and upbeat, but at this point I was already pretty tired from listening to all the other artists on this page so I can't really be objective on that front.
I really like the rising bit 6 minutes into "nobody home".

Very noisy but I kind of like it, even though I'm not that big a fan of DG. Not sure why I like it though.

2/2

Pretty generic indie rock. I liked it. Nothing special to say but thanks for including the lyrics.

Nice ambient music. This is the kind of thing I'd put on if I wanted to block out the world around me and focus on a book or something. My favorite track is track 8 because of the "bleep bleep bleep" sound that goes up and down, it's really comfy. The whole album is comfy but that track in particular does it for me.
I also listened to your "Serendipity" album and I like that one more. It's more up-beat and feels less sleepy overall (except for "Alone", that one was sleepy). I caught myself humming along to "Commercially Yours".
I will say that I think you've got tracklength down pat. It's really easy to go overboard with ambient music and I see it happen a lot where artists just make a track 6 minutes long, and 3 minutes of that is just the same beat on a loop, because it's background ambient music and you're not supposed to pay that close of attention to it anyways. I like that you keep the length down and I think you have a good amount of variation within each track that it doesn't get boring on the "Serendipity" album. "Last Ride" not so much, things got a little bit dull in there at some points.
Would probably be improved if listener was on drugs at the time of listening, but that can be said about most ambient music I think.

Is that how your voice sounds like or did you shift the pitch down in editing? It almost sounds like you're loudly whispering into the mic. Your beats are not bad (I like how it varies a bit in the first track) and the pacing of the lyrics throughout a line seems right, but I can't tell what you're saying most of the time.

I've never used it so I'm not sure how good it is firsthand but I've heard great things about Reaper. It's totally free forever.

THX for listening and feedback.

Rec:

Love the guitar use. Your instrumentals are awesome. I think that your voice will imrpove with time, since you're just 17. I liked the album though, don't stop.

>I was making the instrumental for this track and got strong "ending scene of movie geared towards angsty teenagers who hate their lives in suburbia and are on the roof of their house when their parents are out of town watching the sunset" vibes from it.
If that was the goal then you hit the nail on the head.

I really liked track 1. The upbeat part with guitar strumming and fast vocals is my shit. Outside of that it got a bit too sad for my tastes.

Beats are the best part of this track. Needs more vocal clarity or lyrics posted. I like the tempo and you're rapping on top of the beats correctly.

Long but good/10. The whole album is really chill. The whale sounds on track 10 weirded me out a little bit though.

The girl weirds me out in the music video. She looks like she has big nipples and all she does is just stand there the whole time.
