It's not like law in one is going to be that different to law at another. You still have to learn the same shit, no matter where you go.

It's just bragging rights at this point though, and unfortunately employers actually give a shit. You could be a brilliant physicist but lose out on a job to some rich mediocre brat whose daddy could pay for a fancier school.

This is going to be interesting. Universities rely on popular belief in their value, and, as these academic weirdos further separate themselves from the majority of rational and intelligent people, they might lose quite a bit of their influence in society.
I can't imagine that hiring a Yale graduate is nearly as appealing as it once was. That famous clip of that brat screaming in a professor's face about how universities should be homes doesn't exactly serve to advertise for her value as a potential employee.
