What is the best Twilight Zone episode?

What is the best Twilight Zone episode?

bump

Tales from the Darkside was better.
Amazing Stories was better.
The Outer Limits was better.
Alfred Hitchcock Presents was better.
Black Mirror is WAY better.

TTZ is only good as a model. Everything it inspired dwarfs it.

I'm only on the first season. What has been inspired by The Twilight Zone?

wait nevermind. I thought thhose were titles of episodes.

To Serve Man is great the first time you watch it.

>To Serve Man
can someone tell me what that whole episode in the first season on mars with the android was about? was the message machine can never feel?

I really don't see how that one works well because humans are self aware creatures, same with the episode of the guy being kept in a zoo.

WILLOUGHBY

NEXT STOP WILLOUGHBY

Literally retarded.

Amazing stories had 2 good episodes.

AHP was just alright.

Do you even give a second thought when you invoke the r-word? Do you know how many people you hurt?

Okay what's the worst Twilight zone episode?

That one where the old SS officer revisits Auschwitz or whatever. Snooze fest.

edgy

The Monsters are Due on Maple Street

Walking Distance.

Top Five Official Tales from the Crypt Episodes

1. Dig That Cat . . . He's Real Gone
2. The Man Who Was Death
3. Split Second
4. Television Terror
5. For Cryin' Out Loud

I have a soft spot for "Judy, You're Not Yourself Today" too

Black Mirror (on Netflix) only had one good episode.

fuck you faggot. Twilight Zone is god tier. A masterpiece of science fiction beyond it's time.

The Obsolete Man

also let me just say that TTZ had the best episode titles ever

A Game of Pool is the only acceptable answer.

Which was the only episode you thought was good?

National Anthem was good.

This is my favorite. Comfy and tragic at the same time

Night of the meek. I watch it every Christmas

i forgot what happens it

There was a episode of Night Gallery where all the characters ended up being fictional characters that were hearing the sounds from a typewriter, anyone remember it?

needs more Only Skin Deep

3 episodes that no on talks about but are amazing

>Hocus Pocus and Frisby

Objectively the best.

Guy is fed up with his job. Goes on train and falls asleep. Dreams of a place called Willoughby. Wakes up and continues with his shit life. Goes on train again and dreams of Willoughby. Willoughby doesn't exist and during his dream he jumps off the train and kills himself. Willoughby ends up being the name of the funeral home that takes his body away

Interesting. Imo the video recall episode, the dead guy robot episode and the Christmas episode were all better.

>not having the christmas episode

>implying aliens would just so happen to also have a word that simultaneously means "to give food" and "to assist"

Probably the one you posted.
He literally fucks up Death's schedule. It's amazing.

They egregiously left the cookbook for anyone to peruse, it was trolling not just a mistake.

Shadow Play

bump

So they made up an entire language and wrote a book in it just to troll their food before eating it? What was the next step in their master plan?
Also how the fuck did the humans perfectly translate the title without figuring out any of the rest of the book?

Anyone know why season 4 of Twilight Zone is missing from Netflix?

been wondering that too

The Obsolete Man

Agreed.

My top 3 are
The Obsolete Man (your pic)
Will The Real Martian Please Stand up
Five Characters in Search of an Exit

No, yes, not sure, not sure

My favorite will always be A Game of Pool. Perfect dialogue, perfect setup, perfect ending. Even some feels thrown in.

Honestly there are just too many great ones to name. It's my favorite show because of it. I guess to name a few

>The Four of Us Are Dying
>A World of His Own
>Perchance to Dream
>A Nice Place to Visit
>A Stop at Willoughby
>A Passage For Trumpet
>Mr. Garrity and the Graves
>In Praise of Pip
>The Dummy

Anything with Jack Klugman gets an honorable mention anyway.

Damn, and I was just starting to think Sup Forums had shit taste.

A Game of Pool and The Obsolete Man aren't just the best, they FAR outclass pretty much ever other episode. The dialogue in A Game of Pool is something I could only dream to write. The actors were outstanding.

>They would never make Twilight Zone these days.
>No one wants to watch a show about being a good person.

It's not like they got away with anything. Good people got the shaft in TTZ all the time.

Oh also The Changing of the Guard.
Definitely, man.

Do you mean the one with the prisoner on the asteroid who got the lady robot?

yes

The Lonely

The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street

no the mesage what was it

People need other people, and machines can't cut it even if our delusions tell us otherwise.

Burgess Meredith is always great.

well they did it in a bad way. if androids are self aware, they're just like us.

and there it is, the most indignant dumb thing I'll read tonight

Theres a tales from the crypt movie from the 70s that previously had a version of that story. They're pretty similar.
