what is this anti-capitalism bullshit coming from the left? is it for real?
Anybody with a bit of education knows that capitalism is the greatest force for human development ever devised, and pretty much the only method we know for lifting millions of people out of poverty (recent example: China)
So how can anyone claim to be for helping the poor, but against capitalism?
Could it be people are getting pissed that they're becoming poorer and poorer while everything becomes more expensive and their CEO's are getting pay rises while everyone else's wage stagnates and the whole time the profit margins of these companies are skyrocketing?
Adrian Gonzalez
lol wtf all those numbers are much less than it used to be, and going down, because of capitalism
Cameron Walker
so its ok to deprive 2+ Billion people of a decent life because people in the US are pissy about CEO pay?
Cooper Phillips
> capitalism is the greatest force for human development ever devised
Sems more like Darwin culling the weak and stupid. Besides, out of 6 BILLION people, 20 million isn't really that much. FFS, it's 2017 - who the fuck is still befuddled by clean drinking water??
Stop interfering with nature's culling of morons and imbeciles. You're welcome.
David Brown
The only people that would claim they're being deprived of anything would be these multi millionaires, and the only reason they would even be claiming that is because they have never had to contribute their fair share before.
Lincoln Thomas
Automation. Capitalism has been great so far, but how the fuck will it work when 90% of USA is unemployed?
Jonathan Cooper
>and going down, because of capitalism >because of capitalism >capitalism
That's a weird way to spell scientific advancement...
Austin Lopez
The difference between the 2 is that the deaths on communism were cause someone in charge of guaranteeing wealth for everyone arbitrary decided to kill someone of their own people while in capitalism people die in case of lack of unification and rules: in case of lack of a working state.
I don't know where you live but I have a big house, everyday electricity water, gas and basically everything I want given I can afford (and that's not impossible). Also I don't live in the American shithole so add a bit of taxes and here almost free high level education and "free" healthcare.
The only debts I have is cause my mother is an idiot when it comes to money and spent in years legitimately more than we could.
The only thing I'd change today is the bank system. Yes, there can be loans on things but we arrived to the point where everybody has more than he actually produces and that's plain wrong in an economic way. Buy once you can afford things and take loans you can pay in months, not 10 years
Robert Diaz
Scientific advancement impeded by financial investments at that.
Joseph Ortiz
scientific achievement is driven by market forces. It comes from silicon valley, not north korea
Easton Bell
>implying businesses don't die when they can't find employees that want to deal with their bullshit
Charles Harris

Justin Mitchell
>Anybody with a bit of education
You would be surprised, how many people with education actually reject logic.
A women I know got married to a medical doctor. He is highly intelligent when it comes to medical issues, but as soon as he opens his mouth about political ones, you would think that he is a borderline retard, including ridiculus stuff like "it is possible that lizard people exist".
Problem is that she thinks everything he says is correct, because of his phd. Exiled her from all of her old friends, a huge part of her family (including her gay brother) and now she is a loud right wing anti-capitalistic idiot which only shares tinfoil-hat stuff on facebook while dropping child after child.
She has a master in IT. She is educated. She is still stupid as fuck.

Who the fuck doesn't believe in aliens at this point? Retards
Caleb Taylor
When every corporation is free to do the same bullshit it doesn't matter how many people quit / they fire because there will still be other people desperate to avoid homelessness an starving to death so they'll agree to work for them.
Jace Phillips
>they're becoming poorer and poorer cool story
Zachary Edwards
>impeded

William Hughes
Exactly. user is being retarded.
Luke Rogers
>right wing anti-capitalistic idiot Ok, that is actually retarded

>Scientists focus on grants that will generate them wealth instead of what will actually benefit mankind >Studies being interfered with by lobby groups with vested interests.
Michael Walker
Grats guys, just have more than 2 dollars per day and you're considered not in poverty anymore and that's proof that the free market works :))))))))))))))))
Colton Lee
There is a difference between believing in aliens and believing that immortal lizard people rule the world and created humans just to have enough labor force for their excessive lifestyle.
Yes, he once told me that he cannot rule this out. Not an exaggeration. This is a medical doctor.
Kevin Diaz
nice logic, so the fact that it went from 90% of population to 10% making more than $2 is irrelevant. we need che guevarra to come fix this
Mason James
Meanwhile, corporations can't afford to lose employees to competitors who offer better working conditions. Pull the bullshit you're describing and they'd eventually go out of peoples because they don't have enough employees to make them run smoothly enough to be rich.
Brayden James
so it's a bad thing less people have less than 2 dollars per day?
Aaron Edwards
my electricity usage is $2.00 per day
Camden Johnson
>Scientists focus on grants that will generate them wealth instead of what will actually benefit mankind All that says is that government priorities are out of whack.
>Studies being interfered with by lobby groups with vested interests. >interfered >implying that's worth the money kek
Carter King
No, he's saying as long as you have two dollars a day you're not actually poor. Capitalism works!
Aiden Reyes
Damn that is pretty autistic. Its possible I guess but still to openly believe that is pretty sad
Brody Watson
>implying cronyism is capitalism
Evan Ward
literally where
Carson Ortiz
You make a powerful argument. I'm convinced to turn commie.
Colton Gonzalez
OP are you really actually surprised that a bunch of entitled dumbshits don't understand how economies work?
Anthony Roberts
More common than you think, especially in europe the right-wingers try to adapt to left-wing-toppics, to be more appealing.
Parker Rivera
>being this serious
You're not helping anyone by deliberately misunderstanding statistics like that.
Justin Hughes
They can't be bothered to learn about economics its too confusing for them. Left wingers are simply people who don't/can't understand economics. I think economic and social freedom go hand in hand, if you're against one your acting against the other. Without realising it the leftys want less freedom. Its really simple but try explaining that to them.
Hudson Hughes
It's IMPOSSIBLE ti give every 3rd world mong a middle class American lifestyle. The planet couldn't possible support it, and many wouldn't want the high stress, high cost lifestyle. Stupid fucking college kids don't know shit about how the real world works.
Isaac Cox
>rich will get infinitely richer >everyone else gets living fund Doesn't sound too bad to me user
Noah Stewart
This.
Aiden Hughes
They die because they make poor life choices and refuse to take responsibility for living a healthy lifestyle.

Blake Sanders
I'm talking about lifting millions out of absolute poverty, who da fuck said anything about american lifestyle? How is that any relevant to anything? I
Leo Rogers
dat chart I expect the exact opposite shape as the US as the che-loving millenials take over.
oh well I can always move to china
Juan Wilson
Then what sort of "lifestyle" do you emviosin for these poor downtrodden masses you're trying to save? will they have cars?? will they have air conditioning and 48 inch TV's and cable?? You sound like an idiot that's never lived on their own or even traveled outside the city you were born in.
Robert Walker
That would probably be the best decision in your life
Liam Roberts
whatever lifestyle that literally 400 million chinese who escaped hunger since 1985 are having right now.

>capitalism is the greatest force for avarice ever devised FTFY
Jose Hughes
You seem a little short on details there sport. Proving, you're an idiot and don't know jack shit.
capitalism is indeed driven by avarice, and as a result we are all much better off. The world is complicated like that.

answer the question in your own words you simpleton...oh wait, it's obvious you can't. fucking retards everywhere.
Jaxon Thomas
>trade with the USA increase substantially >poverty in China decreases substantially how is this an argument against capitalism?
Aaron Richardson
I don't even know what the question is. You are saying that what already actually happened in china over the last 20 years is somehow impossible. Its nonsensical.
Nathan Sullivan
>implying US didn't bail out every major bank and real-estate company in 2008 instead of the capitalist way of letting them go bankrupt because of poor decisions Capitalism is dead you fucking moron, it has evolved into cronyism and oligarchy several decades ago.
Ayden Cooper
huh? follow the thread, I posted that as evidence that capitalism is good
Isaiah Myers
>every major bank goes bankrupt >people have nowhere to go for banking >the economy gets raped >the country dies >??? >profit

Levi Rogers
oh ok
Andrew Myers
what is the logic here? Yes I agree, so lets work on making it more free, and less tried to government, not go all Castro and shit like the left is doing
Nathaniel Evans
i tend to look at capitalism just like all other forms of economic paradigm. as a tool to get an end point; to fulfill a goal. it is true in a very large way how effective it has been at stimulating the growth of humanity. but lets face it with the growth of automation in every aspect of the market how usefull will it continue to be? oh sure it would be possible to compensate by creating jobs that would serve a tertiary role at best. the kind of mindless pointless bullshit that serves no purpose. moreover when talking about "creating" jobs this should be considered a strictly governmental endeavor. especially in cases outside of the private sector that don't fill a bureaucratic military or infrastructure role. incentives to create or sustain jobs are merely the other side of the same coin. this should be considered for all purposes as the same thing; as the results are the same with merely the illusion of difference. it should now be pointed out that if your government either directly or indirectly employs a sizable percentage of the population the market can not truly be considered to be free. similar statements could fairly be made about market regulations and control of currency.
but back to the original point in an age where only a small percentage of the population needs to work to fulfill the baseline requirement of human necessity; i ask what purpose does capitalism continue to serve.
related ideas all power destroys itself in the end all systems are the same in this
capitalism is not the best simulator of technological growth it creates selective breakthroughs but often in fact suppresses growth ex: fm radio, ac power, ultra high mpg cars... the list goes on.(its a matter of research costs here i believe and limited collaboration(and a lot of competition) across a field) if 2 people are working on the same idea separately do you suppose that they just might be more effective if the worked together. could you not say the same of three.
Kayden Rogers
>The fuck is going on? Economic freedom is measured how? Sounds straight up fake. Of course the number of people living on peanuts is falling, to buy $1.25 worth of stuff in 05 with today's dollars you'd need more. Capitalism is a bridge from feudalism to socialism, Marx was so convincing that the robber barons of the late 19th century took measures to keep everyone doing laps on the bridge and never getting off. Change the definition of poverty, hey! Less poverty! Real wages have been falling 2.5% for ten years while prices have been rising at the same rate, all that means is 50% more profit for your owners. Stupid graph and shitty bait.
Grayson Bennett
how about you post some data that contradicts that instead
Oliver Cooper
whats your point? It would be the capitalist way, there is no bailing out it capitalism, especially by the government
James Barnes
Hey man, you have to believe all of my sourceless bullshit.
and the income measure is using actual purchasing power parity, so you entire comment is invalid, try again
Parker Gray
lol, and what exactly do you propose? Let's go to the ultrarich and ask them to give most of their wealth away? Let it trickle down on lower class? Logic is, that once capitalism has evolved into something else, there is no turning back, this can only end in slavery or feudalism
Andrew Martinez
>asks others for data as proof >he didn't post data as proof either >but he posted it first so it's up to you to disprove it Yeah, I don't care. I just came here to laugh at you.
Oliver Jenkins
nonsense. Elect officials that think like you and hold them accountable. Your kind of lazy cynicism is exactly how bullshit takes over.
In the same manner Anarchy, Communism and other systems are not bad.
What fuck us is the practical application.
Look at the 2008 economic crisis. It's crystal clear that the system doesn't work, but no one give a fuck because the people that should watch over it are BFF with the ones that ruin it just to have more profit don't caring that their actions have ripercursion on global scale.
Oliver Watson
>no answer to my question >personal attack yeah, you're doing well anons
Sebastian Rodriguez
that happened because economic models were inaccurate and loans for real estate were being given away far too easily >muh cronyism
Michael Smith
I did answer your question tho
Ayden Lewis
>Communism and other systems are not bad.
no, they are bad
Jordan Russell
alright but your questions aren't bearing on the topic >Logic is, that once capitalism has evolved into something else, there is no turning back, this can only end in slavery or feudalism let's start here why do you think this?
Lincoln Evans
there he goes again with the whole concept of good and evil. its almost as if he believes the shit hes saying. its almost as if he doesn't realize that all economic systems work in parallel ways.
Nathaniel Cox
greed and lack of empathy
Evan Wilson
I didn't say it was evil, I said it was bad. As in, it doesn't produce sustainable economic growth. I think the historic evidence is pretty clear on that.
Mason James
so people were non-greedy and very empathic a few decades ago when economic growth was highest?
Dylan Gray
I'm not talking about people in general, there are very few ultrarich and they have always been greedy and sociopathic, it takes time and better conditions to accumulate wealth
Alexander Thompson
>we are all much better off What do you mean by "we", Peasant?
Brandon Cook
and talent and connections and intelligence and hard work
Matthew Green
by "we" I mean literally everyone.
Jackson Peterson
After a deep analyse of those data, I found that when there are less poors, I'm getting older.
The only conclusion anybody with a bit of education can draw from that is that you should maintain a high poverty rate in order to STAY YOUNG FOREVER !
