Dana literally ruins this show. She is always being a pain in the ass or doing some stupid shit. She won't fuck mulder but she will passive aggressively hint around and get pissed when he slays poon. She is so retarded she even got abducted. She sucks big time.

MUH DIIIIICK

Yeah but she's hot

Eh, you're kinda doing the show wrong. Yeah, she can be annoying never believing anything after experiencing the supernatural/alien weekly, but she's endearing in her own way as a more logical thinker and beautiful so it works out. In mid to later seasons their dynamic isnt as iron clad and becomes inverted or self referential.

The bait is out there

Fuck yea she's hot. She reminds me of my mother so much and it makes it even better.

She is the only reason to watch all that MotW shit.

She was DTF every time Mulder's body got taken over and he tried to seduce her, though...

Do you think she stayed a little longer?

Scully was best in the first couple seasons, where she still dressed really matronly, you could just tell she exuded raw sexuality underneath all that cloth.

Then again, I really liked it when she cut her hair shorter and started wearing pant suits, so idk which one I liked more...

MotW episodes are the only reason to watch the show.

Small Potatoes and Dreamland are both based as fuck.

Clyde Bruckman's Final Response is so much better than every other episode. It's hard to continue watching after having viewed it.

Dreamland was straight up awful.

scully

Everything Darin Morgan is involved in is pure gold. I think the 5 he wrote are the best 5 of the entire series, and yes, Clyde Bruckman is the best of the best.

wait wtf I'm gonna fap to milf porn now

>Sees an alien firsthand.
>Denies they exist until the later seasons.

desu we never know if they are actually aliens or something else

Fuck trying to work out the mytharc.

They'll make it work somehow.

>angels/demons

Fuck off with that bullshit.

None of those are what the show is primarily about.

Atheist detected.

>X-F-Ai-Les

Fox Mulder falls in love with Dana Scully.

Unable to confess, the FBI special agent is gifted by a deus ex machina (probably aliens) with the redhead's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.

But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to his fellow agent, she only looks at him with a skeptical expression (as always). After some investigation and conspiracy theories, he finds out that the Scully he called is not the same Scully he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.

Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of TRUTH.

...

The biggest bullshit is when an episode reaches its climax and she conveniently has a reason to leave/turn around/get knocked out just before she can witness something capable of making her believe. Why was this allowed?

Stop posting that because it's already a thing.

Fucking this. Gif related.

never watched X files, should I bother at this point?

is the show good?

are there jump scares?

based hickok

based ari

Give it a go.

Isn't she a huge slut IRL?

Whole thing is on Netflix give it a go

Yeah, it's worth watching. Kind of genre defying, but doesn't really do jump scares. It has some low points, but when it's good it's really, really good.

Don't get too invested in the alien/conspiracy shit, the episodic shit and the relationships between the characters and overall tropes of the show is where it's at.

They're both retarded characters
>I'm a conspiracy nut and believe and have seen all kinds of supernatural things but I'm skeptical that god exists!
>I'm constantly skeptical whenever something paranormal happens even though I've seen with my own eyes again and again, but I'm also religious!
They're chemistry is what makes the show watchable. That's why the nonsensical comedic monster of the week episodes are always my favorite.

yea i dont rlly like paranormal shit/dont wanna get spooped

are there any scooby-doo endings or is it usually legit aliens

It varies.

In one episode, it could be a monster killing people, in another it could be a crazy guy, and on occasion it's a mix of both (see "Squeeze", "Young At Heart").

It runs the gamut from legit to Scooby-doo to everything inbetween.

The common factor is that they usually never have proof at the end of the case for the paranormal.

if you dont like spooky paranormal shit why the fuck would you watch the x-files you fucking mong. that's like going to Kfc and being like "do you have anything else? i dont like chicken." go to a fucking different store then shit head

only for the double d

You fucking pussy, spoopy shit is comfy shit.

Think about any monster, sci-fi, mythology, conspiracy, etc. type story and they probably did a take on it.

Then why don't they have a love child IRL?

Keit-ai is the worst, most forced meme on Sup Forums.

They have a charming relationship that really makes the show. If it was some other actress and they didn't have the same chemistry/dynamic, the show would be maybe 50% worse.

Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose > Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster > Jose Chung's From Outer Space > Humbug = War of the Coprophages

but david duchovny is so damn comfy... i'm willing to make sacrifices i just dont want Scream or whatever levels of spoopiness

jaded outcast reporting in

I fucking love Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose. I was legitametely sad when Queequeg was taken away from Scully later.
Jose Chung's was also hilarious

what?

>or whatever

sry idk much about scary movies

>muh dick

Apparently Darin Morgan was a ghost writer on Quagmire, but then gave her a new dog at the end of were-monster.

dem hershey's kiss nipples.

Absolutely. It can be hit or miss, so don't lose heart if you really don't like a few episodes here and there. S1 is characterized by this more than the other early seasons, but it's more consistently good in S2-5. You'll lose interest sometime during S6 when it goes downhill.

It's a uniquely good show though. The leads' relationship is endearing and there's a lot of smart, concise dialogue that you don't get in many shows. And although much of the content is supernatural, there are some genuinely interesting theories and ideas related to the content that the characters talk about. If you are okay with supernatural elements, then the rest of the show has enough going for it that you should enjoy it. If supernatural stuff just doesn't work with you, you prob won't like it.

Can I just skip season 1? I know you're going to say no...

I'm not one of these "purists" that would say no. It's the type of show where your enjoyment doesn't depend so much on previous episodes, so it's not a big deal really. You won't miss out too much if you do that.

But at the same time, why? Are you really that pressed for time? If you watch a bunch of eps and just can't stand S1, then maybe try S2. Otherwise, why not just watch S1 too?

At the moment I'm a bit pressed for time yes.
Maybe I'll the show for when I have a bit more free time, and watch it properly.

Yea man jerk off to milfs who sorta look like your mom. Especially if your mom was absent or kind of a bitch.

i want to ravage her

YAWZAH!

t H I C รง

At least watch the pilot and the first few MotW episodes to get a sense of how they sort of develop the relationships and characters at the beginning.

I'd also recommend "Young At Heart" because of how vital it is to the overall plot. And you never know when they might continue that story arc.

More like Dana's character becoming less of skeptic ruins the show as the dichotomy that makes them work goes out the window.

>Gillian Anderson at Boston Comic Con this weekend
>decide to get a photo with her
>she stands still like a statue, arms straight at her side, and a thousand yard stare through the camera
maybe it was something I did?
>see all of the other photos taken before and after mine
>she's doing the exact same thing
>everyone seems to have that same sense of disappointment
I mean, I know it's just a job for her, and that she's not going to be excited to see a bunch of nerds, so I don't hold it against her or anything, but I'm just kinda bummed, because other celebrities were a lot more fun to meet.

Also? Really short. She was around shoulder-height, and I'm 6'1"

You a woman or a homosexual?

>Also? Really short
Well no fucking shit, sherlock. It's not like they appleboxed her during filming.
