It's ok, rather not.

are you gay or do you just suck dick?

When did you realise you were a faggot?

>be me
>program and operate 1/2 million dollar CNC router
>use windows XP professional to do it :/

how do you like your malware and viruses?

Pretty solid, actually.

its ok

im straight, faggots

Thats not a question.
But whats the reason?

Malwarebytes says im clean

Actually yes. I very rarely get errors.

bumb

can it still handle the internet?

just for the lulz, install adobe flash v8
or run firefox v15

Are you a small business, or just poor?

but malwarebytes doesn't close any security holes in the os itself. if you're connecting a windows xp machine to the internet you're pretty much predestined to get attacked at some point.

without a problem

i think my flash is updated to the last version

and not running firefox.
what would happen?

although im poor, I do it because this thing still works perfectly, so why throw it away?
I also own a laptop with Win10

i see,,,
what do then? how can I "close any security holes in the os itself?

Cant update to newer windows version bc of hardware limitations

>i think my flash is updated to the last version
one shouldn't even use flash in 2017 in the first place, let alone on an unsafe and obsolete OS

Intel Xeon processor?

Yeah, right........there's a fine line in able to boot it and actually using it. You might as well claim that you are still using window 98, gonna make you look more "kewl". Fuck off, fag.

>one shouldn't even use flash in 2017
why tho

better get a new PC then, if it can't even run Windows 7 it really has to suck

I'm still using MS Dos, AMA

you do realize any website knows what OS you're running.
click on a malicious website
they know you have windows XP
they install all 0-day

now im gonna have to google all known 0-day windows xp attacks

same as with Windows XP, it brings lot of security risks. Flash has been obsolete for a while now and a lot of pages now use html5 instead.

Dude, that's a PC from 2003 what the fuck.

just install puppy linux
or some shitty low-end linux OS.
sure its a shittier version of windows XP but it's all patched.

ty user.
Like I said I can still use it without a problem so will use it until it breaks.
Meanwhile there must be a way to fix those holes u mention?

xp was the best, most logical windows imo. Still running it on my old desktop

>they install all 0-day
so? whats the worst can happen

actually 2002, kek
or is it 2001?

ty, will consider it!

>get rid of flash
>update your virus protection
>update your browser
>get a noscript extention for your browser, as well as a https extension

but this still doesn't close any os security holes, better start saving for a new pc lol

> thinks he knows what a 0-day is
You don't need a 0-day to exploit XP. There's so many vetted exploits. Literally type in Google, "xp rce".

Pic of user "hacking"

you sound like a loser.
Im not
Why dont you AMA

What's your security like?

7 is sufferable, but god I miss XP.

What's your IP address?

>What's your security like?
he wouldn't know.
sure an antivirus program can stop known viruses but it can't lock that newly discovered unlocked door to your Windows XP computer.

ty man,
if i unistall flash, im not gonna be able to watch videos/some sites, or nah?

My malwarebytes is uptaded. Thats the only antiv i got btw.

Cant update chrome, and this pc hates explorer and firefox

what can they do with this 0-day and exploit stuff? Im not a geek

Are u a loser?

idk, i thought it was good until today...

idk

so virtually everyone is at risk bcause theres always newly undiscovered shit outhtere?

Also, is there a way to know if someone is fucking with my PC right now?
>will poast results, of course

You know, you can be hacked, do you?

Xp is easy to hack using exploits. You shouldn't tell if you're using xp.

>so virtually everyone is at risk bcause theres always newly undiscovered shit outhtere?
that is why you should have an up to date OS.
to fix these unlocked doors.

99.9% of the time, antivirus programs only stop the stupid user from installing known malware.

OP was not a faggot today. Instead, he's a God.

I used XP until I had to upgrade...to Windows 7. Thanks to XP awesomeness I was able to skip the Hellish nightmare that was Vista, completely. I'm now using Win7 on both my desktop and notebook, and have zero interest in jumping to 10 until I have to.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. My shit runs smoothly and cleanly, and I'm not about to fuck with it.

what browser does OP use?
IE hasn't been updated in years
chrome wont update (or install?) on XP
firefox will stop updating by the end of the year

without a screenshot, im just assuming OP is trolling

gee ty user

Would u go from 10 to 7?
I got 10 on my laptop, but dont like it that much

>so virtually everyone is at risk bcause theres always newly undiscovered shit outhtere?
pretty much

Me too actually..

(as a coder every other time a customer needs a tool to run on 32bit xp in fact one runs a CNC router with it LOOOL... some things you cannot make up...)

Anyways, I run four different Windows versions on three different computers, and two Linux distros as well as one copy of macos 10

The only machine up 24/7 is the xp box,
(lDK just got used to that thing in all these years)

No, the fact you're using XP and the whole Internet knows how to abuse XP to get data, and since there are no security updates to change which exploits are used you are vulnerable as soon as you click a site that knows all the XP proof hacking gimmicks.

yeah, open task manager go to performance tab, open resource monitor, network tab and check your connections

>Are u a loser?
Yes. I am on Sup Forums

also try this, Windows key + R, type in "msconfig" go to the startup and services tabs and check if there's anything that shouldn't be there, because there probably is.

nothing wrong with that. I spun up a win98SE box a few months ago and used it as my main computer for a few days to see how it went.

aside from finding decent compatible browsers and some issues with higher res displays nothing terrible happened.

where is resource monitor?
i dont have it in the performance tab

lol the moment you're connecting a windows 98 machine to the internet you're pretty much hacked

>nything that shouldn't be there, because there probably is.
like what?

hold on ill post screecap

disconnect router
directly connect windows XP/win98 directly to the modem.

just wait a few mins.

shodan.io/search?query=os:Windows XP&language=None#

i like to google known passwords to routers/modems/ipcams
then go to this site (shodan.io)
and then search for these devices
then login to said devices
then sometimes i like to change the wifi passwords and then change the routers password.
just for the lulz

I didn't realize windows xp didn't have that yet, you can use this instead: processhacker.sourceforge.net/

ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=133918#133918

yeah, I remember those days too. but that was when you hooked up a 56k modem straight to your machine and had the raw internet pumped into you.

turns out having a firewall at the router with no open ports prevents pretty much all the common attacks on win98.

why are you telling me this

only found 3 suspicious things on startup:
NvCpl
issch
dumprep 0 -k

>NvCpl
Nexusvenom child porn loader

Dude, destroy your disk immediately!

already installed, what do now?
idk what im looking at

also, checked

kek

take a screencap instead, it's hard to tell

go to the network tab, if you see anything that seems remotely suspicious google that shit and check what it does.

...

When did you become a faggot?

how do i know whats suspicious tho

that means it's a virus that you wouldn't be able to detect normally, and have no chance in getting rid of. I agree with the user talking about linux. It's saved a few laptops I've had that couldn't even properly run with windows with how bogged down it is, but were working just great with them. Normally I am against linux fags, but you don't have many choices in staying safe on that laptop.

hi juan. what is your ip address?

doesn't look like you have anything dangerous there but these services are unnecessary and can be disabled

exploit-db.com/exploits/66/

lol
idk, even if i did wouldnt tell u, ofc

cant be fucked reading these faggots baiting you

they're all fine and normal entries, but there's some old shit you can uninstall unless you're still using a blackberry

bravo user

ty mang
so I can uncheck those too?

looks ok to me, just your webbrowser. but remember you can never be sure with windows xp

yeah your pc is slow anyway, so having less services running is better.

The world needs more supply bots for ransomware, spam and cp. Good job, user.

ty dudes, thats a relief

so im assuming that you are running an out of date chrome browser?

only SP1 you stupid nigger

can OP get a screenshot of his chrome version?

open chrome

about google chrome

theres a lot of shit in the services tab tho
>pic related

correct, cant update it

once installed some blackberry shit and then it was like, impossible to unistall because of an error

V 49.0.2623.112 m

>fix the holes
Only way to do that would be to delete system 32. It's honestly really outdated at this point and by removing it you'll get rid of a lot of the vulnerabilities your system faces. It's really easy to do and should actually speed things uo a fair bit.

lulz

there's about 5 pages of vulnerabilities for just chrome

some are rated at a 10..out of 10

here are the ones that are above a 6

cvedetails.com/vulnerability-list.php?vendor_id=1224&product_id=15031&version_id=&page=1&hasexp=0&opdos=0&opec=0&opov=0&opcsrf=0&opgpriv=0&opsqli=0&opxss=0&opdirt=0&opmemc=0&ophttprs=0&opbyp=0&opfileinc=0&opginf=0&cvssscoremin=7&cvssscoremax=0&year=0&month=0&cweid=0&order=1&trc=210&sha=a052acd458c9fbeaa71a7d0f256004298b3b05e0

I manage a server that runs my employers business that is running Microsoft Server 2003.

Shit is rekt

I didn't realize someone this oblivious to computers would even be online

k what that means?

like, whats the worst thing a haxor can do? what should i expect?
ruining my comp i guess? If so, i already made a backup, so idont give a fuck
>been expecting this shit to die for ages...
also, not clickin that shit, niqqa

Basically your PC is being used in a botnet so kids can DDoS minecraft servers

you connect to the internet with chrome
a very outdated version

a simple malicious website that you connect to will automatically know what OS you use and what browser you use.

outdated OS
and
outdated browser

malicious website loads up known chrome vulnerabilities
automatically runs them in the background
virus runs on unpatched OS.
start mining bitcoins....or just run your CPU at 100% until it overheats.
or
sits there and spys on all your logins

>sits there and spys on all your logins
this worries me af

Anyways,
OP here

was fun, but gotta hit bed now.
good night, ty all.
