How do you even know if a movie is good or bad?
I know how it can be bad if the technical aspects are all wrong and stuff, but sometimes those things are good and the movie looks good, but then people say it's a bad movie anyway. And sometimes a movie looks boring and dumb, but then it's a good movie anyway.

But I don't know much about movies. How are my opinions that important?

If it's certified fresh on rotten tomatoes that means its good.

I'm very sceptical of that view. There has to be right and wrong things in the world. I'm not a philosopher, but it just doesn't feel like that's the way things are.
I base movies off of story, acting, and production value, in no particular order.
Cinematography is pointless unless it adds value to the movie.

What you like is subjective. If you say something is good though, you have to be able to point at objective things that were done well.
