Do the Ayy Lmaos look like Satan?

I predict they look like this

>Asian aliens
das rayciss

Holy shit, Denis Villeneuve. All in.

I honestly can't think of a filmmaker who gets me more hyped for an upcoming film than him.

I dont like when trailers reveal the entire plot but this wasnt enough to get me interested unfortunately.

>generic hollywood alien flick.
>literally no new ideas
>female lead
>beating a dead horse

thanks for the spam, but no thanks.

Yes, you Sup Forumseddit hotpockets are all over that IMDB plebshitter.

Based Deakins right?

Well this was the teaser trailer. The full trailer will be released soon.

How can you come to any of those conclusions just from a minute long trailer.

I don't like amy adams tb2h shit casting

WITNESSED

It's based on this short story. Contact level bullshit at best. Decent idea with mediocre execution.

>Gary and I looked at each other, and then began pushing the cart of equipment
up to the table. As we crossed the paint line, the looking glass appeared to grow
transparent; it was as if someone was slowly raising the illumination behind tinted
glass. The illusion of depth was uncanny; I felt I could walk right into it. Once the
looking glass was fully lit it resembled a life-sized diorama of a semicircular room.
The room contained a few large objects that might have been furniture, but no aliens.
There was a door in the curved rear wall.
We busied ourselves connecting everything together: microphone, sound spectrograph,
portable computer, and speaker. As we worked, I frequently glanced at the
looking glass, anticipating the aliens’ arrival. Even so I jumped when one of them
entered.
It looked like a barrel suspended at the intersection of seven limbs. It was radially
symmetric, and any of its limbs could serve as an arm or a leg. The one in front of me
was walking around on four legs, three non-adjacent arms curled up at its sides. Gary
called them “heptapods.”

the book describes them as some sort of heavily symmetrical aliens that have two languages, a spoken, and written, and each are completely different and mean different things.

I wanna image something like flat world.

we'll see.

I'm hooked

...

Well the teaser trailers are still supposed to get you interested, but this didn't have any exciting or curious enough scenes for me

I love sci fi though, so I hope this movie is dope. The whole language barrier reminds me of a book called Blindsight.

>freakin awesome
>kino
So it really is underage twitter cancer spamming kino

Well I'm sorry to hear that..

I also got a Childhood's End vibe from this trailer. Has a good film adaptation been done of that book, yet?

>heptapods

(You)

The Sup Forums tactics of a Sup Forumseddit film buff. Isn't it time for your Incendies and chill down at your playstation club house?

Yeah so you should go back

Fuck off, autist.

Did you get triggered by certain adjectives.

You seem angry for no explicable reason.

Did something rustle your jimmies?

>Has respect for IMDB-core directors
>calls anybody else autism
Classic Sup Forumsilleneuve toddlers. IMDB that doesn't know it's IMDB.

>mfw there will never be truly alien like creatures in mainstream movies

>Lois Lane and Hawkeye together
"What is this, a crossover episode??"

inb4: The aliens are shapeless because we can't "perceive" them aka "we blew the special effects budget on the ship we used in an establishing shot"

Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra.

>reddit director with pop science memery
oh boy
watch out deadpool

You seem confused

Ted Chiang is a hack, I have no idea what people see in his stories.

They're just going to look like flowers or sea anemones.

They're inconsequential to the story anyway. They're just along for the ride. Its what they reveal to the humans that really matters.

>amy adams lead

hahahahahhaa

>generic hollywood alien flick.
How many space films the last couple years? a ton
>literally no new ideas
same thing
>female lead
duh
>beating a dead horse
same old same old

If she shows her tits it's kino

The movie is 99% drama bullshit, 1% ayyyy lmao.

Even less alien shit than 10 cloverfield lane

this is my main problem with it also

>having one of the greatest actresses of our generation as the lead
>somehow a bad thing

>our generation
She's like 40. Go to bed grandpa

That's not a bad thing.
