Anybody have some black metal suggestions? I've kinda hit a dead end. I feel like I should enjoy more black metal than I do. Darkthrone is super awesome. I enjoy the atmospheric part, but also the midpace riffs on A Blaze... Earlier stuff like Bathory (even the viking stuff) and Hellhammer are great. Mayhem is all right. Most stuff I've tried isn't bad, it's just not scratching the itch. Like Immortal for example Pure Holocaust is good, just didn't really blow me away. At the Heart of Winter for the other side of them was fine, but was slightly too technical and thrashy. (Not a big thrash guy.) The albums I listened to of Taake had some good parts, but lost me in a bit in others. Just trying to find something that blows me away like Darkthrone while not just being a copy.

I just listened to this album and it's the most beautiful and depressing experience I've ever had listening to music, I broke down and started crying like a baby. I can't wait until my gf comes back from her summer vacation in Detroit so I can show her this beautiful masterpiece, I know she'll love it as much as I did.
