soundcloud.com/kickingandpunching/marimba-beach-beat >hip-hop, electronic, marimba Nice blend between modern hip-hop and some really quirky electronic elements. Any feedback is greatly appreciated and returned!!
I'm digging this album save for High Noon's snare. For some reason it's just bleh, not sure if it's just the sample. The drums on the rest of the album sound great, and I really like your guitar tone. I'll take it for a dolla.
could have a bit more low end but its still smooth as fuck. good shit
real nice dude. great beats keep it up
Jackson Williams
All great work but can someone explain to me what do you gain by filtering out the treble from every song? I don't understand why this is desirable, a lot of the songs would sound even better with some treble let in. I guess I don't understand that point of 'low-fi' exclusively?
Wyatt James
much appreciated, my man
I'll see what I can do about that snare in the meantime

Putting audio through an analog signal chain rolls off the highs from a track automatically. I think most of these guys are doing it with an EQ intentionally to replicate that A E S T H E T I C. I agree, a little high register wouldn't hurt most of these tracks.
Nathaniel Thomas
most of the samples i work with aren't really the highest quality
>weird sorta love crap >beats >idk what else to say? Anything is appreciated here, its all weird crap anyway so i'm not expecting people to like it but if you guys have any feedback then that would be tremendous! I honestly think the older stuff I did is better but then again others like the new stuff better, anyway thanks in advance and ill do my best to give you guys feedback too. :)

That was interesting! Check out this freestyle! >Hip Hop >Freestyle
Really nice stuff here man, especially your latest one and I Danced Alone Last Night. Will definitely listen to them again
A couple of other tracks had elements (especially vocals) which felt like they were timed slightly off. Thats just me though, other people would disagree.
here, I like how absolutely weird it all is, especially with the guitar work being so tight, which kind of keeps it from going off on the deep end. At times it feels like being at a fair, other times it's like walking through a library, I could go on.
>soundcloud.com/jeg-vet-ikke/nicholass-cage This is really interesting! Has a sort of hip hop feel, like Tame Impala. Put some vocals on it.>soundcloud.com/reggie_malvo I can dig it, it's a bit wordy though. It would do you good to switch up your flows a bit. The beats are good. >landonmckinley.bandcamp.com This stuff's really quiet and sparse, I have my system on full blast and I can't really hear much. There are great free online mastering sites that you could probably benefit from.

The bass and guitar don't really match eachother too well in sound. The singer has a great voice but when he screams it feels like he's not putting 100% in. Like he's only screaming at half of his capability. The drums are really clean, but not too crazy, try some variation. Good shit tho, keep it up!
I don't understand what you mean by the bass and guitar don't really match each other? are you talking tone or composition? I can assure you I put 100% into the screams, I recorded this a couple weeks ago and my vocal chords are still healing. I also had strep throat while recording.
Alexander Morris
I mean composition, they feel like they both are playing covers of the song you're trying to make, if that makes sense, like they are not matched in feel of the song.
And about the voice... hmm, try going up or down an octave, maybe that would make it sound more straining, cause your voice is gr8 when you sing with deep like you do.
the bass steals the show, there's some interesting rhythms here. The vocalist sounds kind of wimpy, and the guitarist seems to not really know what he's doing. Cool synths.
Alexander Flores
not him but don't take it so badly, dude lol
Easton Myers
I'm not taking it badly lmao, he was mostly complimentary. I'm flattered he told me I had a great voice
