no, its mostly hollywood from what i know

bump

How 'murica is educated.
How it really was

New call of duty bread?

Amerifag here, in high school they made it seem like we did most of the fighting. Once I got to college they explained it in a lot more detail.

no, because most people don't believe the US was the only country involved. Actually who am I kidding, many people don't even know what the fucking civil war in our own country was. I am surrounded by complete idiots who have no interest in bettering themselves.

More dead Russians though, like 4/5ths of them need to be dead

Kinda,Americans sure were important in the defeating the nazis but only the soviets could deliver the Suicidal-no regards for my own people Steamroll on Hitler's strongest troops so far.

Easy Company rolled through Europe and gave everyone freedom fries

Don't preorder it

I'm Italian and I'm flattered by the size of the Italian one, compared to Germany and Japan.

btw, that's the flag of the Italian Navy, not the Italian State.

tl,dr: top kek

>the "how it really was" is pretty accurate.

people seem to forget that the allies were sending the russians equipment and kept the nazis out of the middle east, which kept their planes from flying and tanks from moving

Disagree because there weren't dinosaurs during the way you fucking idiot lmao

only with the U.S.' materials support. How I wish the nazis would have won. the u.s, needed to have its ass kicked.

you heard wrong.

>only usa that smoked nazi germany in ww2.
I used to believe that until i got to college.

where are you from?

and by Allies you mean Britain and the brave guys from the Commonwealth

The picture misses US bombers which were vital for Germany's loss.

Short answer:

Without US intervention, both with lend lease and direct combat, then Germany would have been able to make a favorable peace with Russia and go on ruling Europe.

I live in USA and the top isnt how it's taught, at least it wasn't to me. That is probably more like it has been interpreted by all of the retards here, though.

We were taught that America pushed back the lines at Normandy, which was a big turning point in the war. Normandy and the war on the Pacific were the two biggest roles we had in the war. Americans don't really see is as we fought and won the war ourselves, we see it as once we joined, we ended it.

Punch me

Britain was on the brink of falling. Wish we let them.

Britfag here, wish you had left us too.

unlikely, hitler was far more interested in destroying communism than ruling europe, if he could've achieved it without fighting france and uk he would've

Churchill gave up too much in that trade

Its not our education system at all. It's 100% our Jewish media. Movies mainly. So many well crafted ww2 films making it seem like the US was the main force behind everything.

I mean there were troops going to Europe. Just not as many as US film industry paints it to be. It's all for jew pitty and jew guilt mainly. Anywhere they can stick in the fucking holocaust. Oy.

I'm French from Savoy.
Isn't it the Savoy emblem on the italian flag ?

wow do you really not your history? the house of savoy united italy and become the royal family

The top is just how the rest of the world thinks the USA thinks tbh.

Anybody living in the US if pressured on the question wouldn't actually think that way unless you ask some backwater redneck living in the forest.

In my school, the focus was mostly on the U.S. and Germany, and Japan. I found it strange they didn't go into much depth about everything else going on.

Realistically, German forces didn't have the ability to push all the way to the Urals. Best case scenario was that the line would remain stalemated somewhere around where it was set in the winter of 1941-1942. The stalemate would have given Germany enough of a bargaining position that they might have been able to take the Baltic and the rest of Poland in a peace settlement.

Destroying bolshevism was rhetoric, and rhetoric is malleable. The Molotov-Ribbentrop pact is a good example of that.

Without the US pouring tanks, trucks, guns, planes and food into Britain and Russia, they would not have been able to continue resisting. I don't think the US won the war singlehanded, but they certainly provided the men and materiel to win.

The first text should say "How american people think WW2 WAS".
I dont think the rest of the world have that vision.

Sure i know but i think it was the national flag of italy for a time, history teacher prefer teach some fucking paris history instead of our homeland

No, just no. Peace was never an option for the Soviets or Nazi's.

As for the original image, not really. It's true that in terms of raw numbers the Soviets contributed the most manpower. But in terms of strategic impact, there's no denying the huge impact of the UK/CAN/AUS/US.

There seems to be a great deal of effort in the West to minimise the Anglo contribution. No idea why.

In all 12 years of school we only covered world war 2 for 2 weeks in one year and we spent a week of that talking about the cold war being the result of it.

K-8 we literally only ever learned about Indians and how white people killed them all, despite the fact disease killed them all, which was almost never covered.

This is why I'm so confused when people tell me they never learned about white people killing Indians and Russia being in WW2

Funny, how they never taught critical thinking until college.

OKlahomafag here, US' role in WW2 was exaggerated, but not that exagerated

You know I didn't know until I read it myself that disease killed off most of the Indians, looking back schools are almost like cult indoctrination

Hippies went on to become the teachers in school systems, the hippies should have been gassed

>Peace was never an option

I disagree. If nothing else, if the Germans had not had to devote forces to Africa and Italy to fight US supplied Allied forces, and if they had not been getting bombed into the ground by the RAF and USAAF day and night, they might have had the materiel and troops to finish off Leningrad and make another push on Moscow. They could have decisively ended the war in the east with those symbolic victories and negotiated a peace without having to drive all the way across the USSR.

Yes, history is full of lies and misinterpretations because of nationalist ideologies and entertainment industries, it's the same thing with the american old west.
The idea that in a conservative puritan society where everyone has guns, one outlaw can take a whole city dueling with a sheriff without anyone intervening, and then go to a saloon full of whores located in the middle of the city is comical of so surreal.

i watched victory day preade putler said how the ussa won the war 32 million russian died at the hands of the nazis only the thing is half of those were murder by the soviat union and eveyone forget that the ussa had contrationcamps until the 80s

youtube.com/watch?v=DwKPFT-RioU

Poland did many things in WW2

For every one (1) American soldier who died in the European Theater, 80 Soviets died in his place. If you were to have a moment of silence for every Soviet who died during WWII, you'd be quiet for over 50 years. The Soviets gave more in that regard, holding their ground at Stalingrad for 58 days before pushing the Nazis out.

My history teacher in hs was alright, taught us about WW2 from different point of views and told us how our American education system is fucked

If only the Germans had taken the British at Dunkirk...

Or had waited several years to perfect their jet fighters, ballistic missiles and nukes...

no

>Poland did many things in WW2
Like what?
Surrendering in a few days?
Or helping the Nazis on exterminating the jews?

Uncle Joe wasn't much of a strategist. Even Zhukov and the other Soviet generals seemed to have the general opinion that any problem can be solved by throwing enough manpower at it.

When you take as many casualties as the reds did compared to your enemy. That's not winning nor victory. Its scraping by.

Pic not related

No we are taught properly. Stayed out of the war and mainly profited off of manufacturing until Japan bombed us then we fucked them up and were instrumental in the final push against the axis.

Do you think the Russian army would have survived without Lend/Lease? Checkmate.

He wasn't perfect (don't think anyone would say he was), but I still have respect for him. My country likes to take the credit for showing up at the last minute far too much.

Yes

Stalin killed millions of Russians, too. And thousands of Poles. And invaded and split Poland in a partnership with Adolf Fucking Hitler.
And other Russians paid for that with their lives.

Stalin was a monster. If you hate Hitler, then you should also hate Stalin.

Just like Trump, couldn't have done it without the Russians.

>"Uhm, does anyone want a cig?"

After the allies won they had to convince the world that "the good guys" won.

>American history consists only of imperialism, genocide, and oppression
>Cuba is "free" and "strong"
>NVA were "good guys

u wot m8? That the US shouldn't have attempted the Bay of Pigs or been anywhere NEAR Vietnam will get no arguments from me. But are you REALLY this fucking stupid?

It couldn't be more obvious that an asshurt limey made that image kek.

Our role is definitely exaggerated, but not to this extent. Though a lot of people act like this is what they were taught because they're nationalist asshats

Landing in the normandy only happend to prevent that Stalin conquer the rest of europe

Yet the population under Stalin increased by 1.6%.

na, I'm good

This is war. Everybody is a monster.

No

>Yet the population under Stalin increased by 1.6%.

Even considering the Ukrainian famine, the first two five year plans, and the Second World War?

There's like... 40 million non-natural deaths in there.

It's not an accomplishment, but it is interesting.

First-year college student with a Che Guevara shirt detected.

Don't you have to get shit on at some ANTIFA rally?

>

What's a limey?

Die, hippie apologist scum!

Post-grad who cares more about Thomas Sankara than Che, but alright.

As far as Antifa rallies go, I'd rather be at the shooting range, preparing.

I ain't no hippie

As reported by Pravda?
Even if it was true, so?

Stalin kills millions.

Hitler kills millions.

US firebombs some cities.

Not equivalent.

Why do you embrace communism?

Greece gave some of the most heroic fights. The one month delay they caused to the Axis forces, was the reason winter beat them in Soviet. Learn history faggots.

>"The stories and information posted here are artistic works of fiction and falsehood.
Only a fool would take anything posted here as fact"

I posted this in a Nazi-thread 2 weeks ago, i cutted of the "ifunny" watermark.

Its a shoop, u fucktard, stop lying

>As far as Antifa rallies go, I'd rather be at the shooting range, preparing.
With capitalist bullets and brand-game guns at privately-owned gun ranges.

This is the real-world communist, anons. This is the guy that Occupies Wallstreet while posting about it on facebook with his iphone.

>Its a shoop, u fucktard, stop lying
Evidence?

What the fuck is this image trying to convey?

From 1941 to 1953 the world population grew with 13%.
Stalin was a raving lunatic.

>So
there's no need to cite 'mass famines/genocides' when the population data directly contradicts them.

Class consciousness.

How exactly do you know where/how I get my weapons and ammo?

Easy. Go on tumblr and find this post. U got a date, go on

They don't teach it even in college. You are taught WHAT to think, not how to think.

wow, y don't know shit

but was a hell of a bomb, even nowadays people die of cancer because of it.

Easy. Go on tumblr and find this post. U got a date, go on
I mean, if it's so easy, why haven't you done it already?
And yes, the burden of evidence is with you. You made the claim.

You also got really ass-damaged about an image on an anonymous imageboard. But we can delve into that defunct part of your psyche later. Who the fuck defends ANTIFA anyway?

That "How it really was" greatly underestimates the European allied forces. It's not like the americans were the only part of the allied forces that did anything.
I mean, the European forces fought Germany for three years all by themselves.

Yes, you are a hippie. You embrace the material goods and freedom your country gives you, but you feel guilty about it because you don't deserve it.

>critical thinking
>college
Is that why you kids can't source anything without Politifact? 'Cus you think critically?

The war was already decided by 1944 rofl. Normandy didn't "turn" anything.

They retweeted it for april fools....

That population datum is likely not true and would disprove nothing anyway.

I didnt had to search tho

Thx

> Communist bought something
> HA GOT EM

Quit being a faggot retard.

Kept Stalin out of Paris.

I actually boycott a lot of things in this country. I don't watch the local/evening news, I don't shop at Wal-Mart, I've boycott western restaurants (both sit-in and fast-death 'restaurants'), I don't patronize the meat industry, and I reject things like holidays and sporting events (just to name a few). It's not about things I think I do and don't 'deserve,' rather, it's what I know better than to submit to.

Do some reading. And by 'reading,' I mean other than works like,
>The Black Book of Communism

Time for me to go on a jog. Later.

I'm not sure what this is supposed to prove.
It's the same picture I posted. Just screenscraped from your phone.

Is the fact that they posted it on Aprils Fools concrete proof it's fake?

Do you see ANTIFA celebrating April's Fools? I see them not getting jobs and attacking civilians, personally.

You serious mate?

>Nazi Germany
>favorable peace with Russia
i lol'd
