The majority still believed in space travel because the internet hadn't developed enough to spoil the lies about the lethal van allen belts
The internet held promise and it was thought that it would lead to great things instead of just several forms of blogging
Music wasn't completely ruined by african influences and robot voices

Pepe didn't exist yet.

I was born in 93

The earliest movies I remember watching are Toy Story, Lion King, Bugs Life, Titan A.E, and Recess.

I got a Nintendo 64 for Christmas of 98, with it, Super Mario 64

I got a Gameboy pocket with Pokemon blue. I sucked at it but found it amazing still. I always got stuck and never knew where to go.

I also got a PlayStation with Spyro and Crash.

I never grew up playing sports. I was sheltered by a single mother who allowed me to play games all the time.

I would go to my dads every other week and play with my brother and our neighbors in the forest behind the house. We'd play flashlight tag at night in the summer, and have water fights and play ball tag. We also rode bikes. I only did fun things like this at my dads house.

That is my 90s in a nut shell. Thanks for reading.

>Music wasn't completely ruined by african influences
right, there was no jazz, r&b, rock and/or roll, soul before the 90s, nor was there this "hip hop"

you have to be 18+ to post here, faggot

No, no, some African influence is okay. There just has to be a strict limit. You can't let them use robot voices to talk about wet pussies and ghost riding whips, at that point it's really gone too far. It's like any other recipe, or medicine, the ratio's the thing.

The two films that embody the spirit of 90s youth the best are Clerks and Slackers/Suburbia (both by Linklater). We were an apathetic generation. I watch these films now, and they annoy me. They annoy me because I realize I was a lot like those people. Whiny, apathetic, lazy. It annoys me that I could have been more productive. Sound familiar? It should. Things haven't changed much.

Fuck you

>FF7
Overrated jrpg that has aged horribly. Doesnt even hold a candle to Ocarine of Time

>FF8
The one that no one talks about because everyone talks about FF7

>FF9
The one even less people talk about because they're still in shock that there's a FF8

>Metal Gear Solid
Pretentious garbage schlock from a failed Hollywood film maker

>Crash
Good. But not better than Banjo, Mario, or Donkey Kong

>Spyro
Same as above

>Gex
Also on N64.

>Madden
Also on N64

>Jet Moto
Literally what?

>Need for Speed
Diddy Kong Racing + Mario Kart say hello

>Star Ocean
Irrelevant literally who game

>Twisted Metal

>doesn't know of Jet Moto

That series needs a reboot, and you're a foggat

It was a period after the Cold War and before 9/11.

I really really enjoy watching mid to late 90's american action films about threats to US security where they cast a middle-aged man who works at the Pentagon with a raspy sense of humour who shouts "GET THE PRESIDENT ON THE PHONE RIGHT NOW" and so on and usually the protagonist is an unassuming or particularly characterful man with a wife he's madly in love with and it ends with a big explosion and a serene calm penultimate scene before some funny happy skit to end the film with which generally says USA USA USA

being a shit cunt

reading that winded me

There was a sense of optimism in the future

ps1 fags were the worst.
with your stupid 'multitap' adapters and lack of 4 player split screen
