2017 NFL DRAFT DISCUSSION THREAD

Since many of your teams' seasons are over, let's talk the draft, Sup Forums

Who do you want to take most?

Who will bust and who will surprise?

discuss, lads

Burrs fan here. Not really confident in any of the QBs at the top. Would love if Allen or Garrett fell but probably not going to happen.

Luke Falk could be a sleeper at QB.

>iggles
gib Sidney Jones or Desmond King pls

Browns fan, reporting in

Feels good knowing we're taking Garrett #1 overall. Probably gonna either take secondary, Kizer/Trubisky, O-line, or one of the two Alabama LBs with the second first round pick.

The defensive talent in this draft makes my dick hard.

TOP TEN MOCK:
>1.) Cleveland Browns - Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M
>2.) San Francisco 49ers - Jonathan Allen, DL, Alabama
>3.) Jacksonville Jaguars - Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU
>4.) Chicago Bears - Mitch Trubisky, QB, North Carolina
>5.) New York Jets - Tim Williams, OLB, Alabama
>6.) Tennessee Titans (from LA) - Mike Williams, WR, Clemson
>7.) Cleveland Browns (from PHI) - Jamal Adams, S, LSU
>8.) San Diego Chargers - Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama
>9.) Arizona Cardinals - Teez Tabor, CB, Florida
>10.) Carolina Panthers - Jabrill Peppers, S, Michigan

fuck off. manziel was destined to be a fuck-up but your franchise will ruin Garrett's career.

No QB will go in the top 10 cause no one will be able to talk themselves into any of them. Any team that picks any of these shit QBs in the top 10 should be fired.

>nanners

No hope unless we get new GM from outside the org, kneeling man, and ditch Chip Kelly.

Hope they go oline heavy in the first few rounds. Joe Staley is getting old as dirt.

Reminder that there is top-tier talent at all levels of the draft. Knowing how to find and develop it is more important than having a high pick

This is said just about every other year. It doesn't stop teams from reaching or making dumb ass trades. GMs start panicking when their guys get taken early

People who talk about draft by round don't really understand it too well. Here is the real way the draft works.

elite talents 6-10 players a year

top talents 15-20 players a year give or take (completes round 1 mostly but the end of round one it usually tails off before 32 pretty sharply. I would say at usually 20-25 is when the drop happens.

Good players 100 players a year fit this catagory (from about rounds 2-4 you have pretty solid players but not as much difference as you'd think from most round 2 and 4 guys.

Crap shoot players (at this point just hope to get lucky after round 4 or so)

Of course just as an add on teams can ruin elite talents and make them crap. If you work hard you will eventually find a crap shoot player you can coach up if he has the drive and smarts.

The physical talent difference between an UDFA and elite talent isn't that big.

Still basically the best offensive player beside Hyde that >we have. 49ers need so much but with Chip at the helm it could very easily be some Meme running QB. Someone to help the run defense or OL beef would be ideal I think

who will be dumb enough to trade multiple first rounders for Garapollo?

Im going to let whatever team know that if they pick Mitch Trubisky in their top 10 that they are going to be severely dissapointed.

>multiple
No one someone might throw onefirdt or a couple 2nds

>dumb enough

actually i think he is going to be a good QB. If Bradford is worth a first Jimmy should be worth more.

>SF going for a 34DE 3 years in a row
lolno

elite talents are physical freaks of nature who have the instincts to play their position properly. UDFAs are relatively smaller, dumber, and slower

>Titans not taking a Corner with their first pick

Whoever made this mock is shite

>Tim at 5

Ballsy. I know his skillset is extra valuable in the NFL, but 5?

>Reuben Foster
>Tim Williams

who's the better LB?

I'm really really hoping Dallas can get something out of (nothing). I wanna see Romo get traded to a desperate team for at least a 2nd round pick. With that we draft a D-lineman an OLB or a receiver I guess.

I'm telling you guys, Patrick Mahomes is a legit good pro qb. This isn't just Texas Tech homerism either. Best pro prospect qb to come out of tech ever. He's a more athletic Josh Freeman with a better athletic background.

>all the RBs choose to go back to school because this class is loaded
>2018 class now becomes better than the 2017 class
over/under 2.5 RBs getting Barkley'd their senior year

>that masturbatory left-right arm ratio
