Check out gang of four
I would rec but I'm very bad at recommending music
Here's my chart
Made this one a couple weeks ago while being sad and wishing I was in Japan again. Now I'm sadder because I'm single yet again and can't stay in a relationship for more than like four months apparently.
+Frost, Hecker, Microphones, CSR
-Gambino
Rec: Gnod - Just Say No... , Dalek - (untitled)
+Zeit, He Miss Road, Sun Ra (haven't heard that recording yet tho, guessing an 80's recording with digital synth?)
Rec: Flower Travellin' Band - Satori, Taj Mahal Travellers - Stockholm 1971
+Burial, Quas
-Strokes x2, Drake, Gambino
Rec: Tetsu Inoue - Organic Cloud
Lots of this just seems like the Sup Forums Essentials chart but you seem to be finding your own taste which is good. Recommend checking out earlier self-released stuff by the Antlers, though; Hospice really is a meme album
if you like bungle, you might like ween and primus. Also, because you have anco, maybe some '60's psych music, like piper at the gates of dawn and electric ladyland? You don't seem one for guitar solos, so the hendrix might be a stretch, but give it a try I guess.
safe as milk is awesome
best taste in thread. Grateful Dead, MBV, Comus, and The Microphones are awesome
+Talking Heads, Avalanches
+Tangerine Dream, Aphex Twin
+microphones, aphex twin, nmh

>Mark Of The Mole is too good, have you found anything similar? The closest to it I've gotten was just other Residents stuff.
Not really, unfortunately. Especially not in terms of the concept. Musically, you could try early-mid 20th century experimental/avant-garde composers, or like, Swans or something.
Looking for recs, particularly shoegaze, noise rock, post-punk, and new wave.
Some artists I like from these genres: MBV, Ride, Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Black Tambourine, Jesus and Mary Chain, New Order, Cure, Chameleons, Sonic Youth
+ Gay Parade, Duality
second'ing Marquee Moon rec, reccing Little Brother - The Ministrel Show as well
second'ing Shabazz Palaces - Black Up rec, reccing Oh No - Dr. O's Oxperiment as well
