Do it tomorrow night

i think you mean re-watch

The answer to that question is always "yes".

There is never a bad night for lotr have at it friend.

i think you should post this question again tomorrow, it will be funnier then, then keep doing it for the next 6 years

Came here to post this, verbatim

It's a work night, wait till the weekend.

Yes. Then create a nice comfy Tolkien thread and try to crack the secret that keeps shitposters away.

Funny, I was thinking of watching it tomorrow morning. I recommend not doing the marathon at night; you'll be a zombie by the time you hit ROTK.

no way

we should set up a stream and thread and watch it together senpaitachi

I would be down for this, set it up friend.

The whole trilogy, or just Fellowship?

Maybe Fellowship one night, Twin Towers another and then finish off with Return of the King the last one.

I disagree.

The only nights to watch lotr is when it's raining or snowing. Max comfy

Pls guys

Now the real question: extended or theatrical?

Or a sunday afternoon when there is nothing else to do.

extended obviously

I only have the extended versions of Twin Towers and Return of the King sadly.

you cant be serious
who the fuck watches the theatrical cuts

No need to apologize, the extended cuts are the definitive versions.

>My friends, you bow to no one

Every fucking time

>keeping this tab open so I can report anyone who actually bothers trying to set up a livestream

Had a bad day, feel like shit and I'm gonna take it out on youse fantasyfags

There's too many feels throughout the trilogy, man. I can try to list them, but I know I'll forget some.
Fellowship alone has:
>Bilbo leaving the Shire
>Frodo seeing Bilbo at Rivendell
>"..Have you ever been called home by the clear ringing of silver trumpets?"
>"My brother, my captain, my king."

one day i'll find you and stab you in the eye

So you'll be meeting us around 6pm then? Bring food

Does anybody know where I can rent/stream the extended version? I don't mind paying to watch it.

...

Have you ever seen it, Aragorn? The White Tower of Ecthelion, glimmering like a spike of pearl and silver, its banners caught high in the morning breeze. Have you ever been called home by the clear ringing of silver trumpets?

bump for this

I think Vudu has it.

only if extended (read real) edition. I am nearly finished my latest watch.

are the books good to read after youve seen the movies?

set a stream up already you mugs

yes hayden

Yes.

Yes, absolutely.

I haven't read LOTR, but usually the books are way worse than the movies.

>Reading LOL

>I think Vudu has it.
not to stream.

...

Kek. Im almost tempted to set one up now

Just caught the Hobbit for the first time a few days ago, part one anyway. And now seeing this thread... Fucking OP, am I really going to spend 9 hours was ching these movies? I just might.

do it

Wednesday 6:00 PM

Do it

I would highly recommend movies first, then books, just to see how incredibly faithful the movies are to the books. Plus it gives you visuals in years ur mind. The books have lots of shitty songs in them though, I just skip that shit.

why does anyone watch the unextended cuts

Works for me, I get off at 5pm EST

They haven't seen them yet, it's the only logical reason.

because you cant rent the extended cuts and theyre each eighteen dollars

>skipping the songs

Old Tom Bombadil is a merry fellow,
Bright blue his jacket is, and his boots are yellow.
None has ever caught him yet, for Tom, he is the master:
His songs are stronger songs, and his feet are faster.

Fuck this gay film man... ;_;

"I would have you smile again , not grieve for those whose time has come"

I know it's not true but I can't help but feel like Theoden didn't have enough action time in Return of the King.

>The books have lots of shitty songs in them though, I just skip that shit.

Through Rohan over fen and field where the long grass grows
The West Wind comes walking, and about the walls it goes.
‘What news from the West, O wandering wind, do you bring to me tonight?
Have you seen Boromir the Tall by moon or by starlight?
‘I saw him ride over seven streams, over waters wide and grey,
I saw him walk in empty lands until he passed away
Into the shadows of the North, I saw him then no more.
The North Wind may have heard the horn of the son of Denethor,
‘O Boromir! From the high walls westward I looked afar,
But you came not from the empty lands where no men are.’

Some of the best shit are in the songs

How long do you intend to stay awake?

Better have set aside 10 hours.
