Can Sup Forums agree that Afleck looks way more like batman than bale?
Can Sup Forums agree that Afleck looks way more like batman than bale?
Batfleck was better than Batbale for sure.
there isn't one batman
They all sucked.
Animation is better suited for comic books.
Ben was just superior in every way.
He sounded like Bruce, acted like Bruce, looked like Bruce, sounded like Batman, acted like Batman, looked like Batman.
Bale is a huge fucking disappointment. He got "fit" for the role but was still twink-tier, plus the bat-pad armour was pathetic and the throat-cancer voice was cringeworthy.
Not only that but he didn't even look or act like Bruce.
He gives off the genius scary looking guy vibe from the comics better. They did make him a killer, and Batman isn't supposed to be the Punisher. Bale was a better Bruce Wayne tho.
I think he really captured the Batman we think about. Big guy, dark costume, tall and a bit hunchback, deep voice and strong chin i.e. a very imposing figure and presence. Which Batbale wasnt, he came off as too much of a goo guy. hell even when bruce was talking with clarck at the party he has this very imposing presence, it's really good
This is why Keaton was the worst Batman.
bale's batman tried to be intimidating with the spoopy voice, but batman doesn't try he just is batman. you're right batfleck was better.
Snyder's/Affleck's Batman made me care again after TDK trilogy bored me to tears 3 times in a row. I have to say Batfleck is already more compelling than every Batman before him and every movie costumed caper in cinema in general. I'm serious too. Fuck your memes and fuck your console warring.
this
are you implying Punisher in a Batsuit is better than Bale's Actual Batman?
lol
again, depends which comics, i'd say bale looks close to jae lee's batman
>You're the boss, Boss.
Am I the only one that raised an eyebrow? Can someone explain why Wally said that? I know Bruce Wayne is literally his boss, but he it just came out like a nonsequitor and the phrasing made my faggot ass think of Metal Gear. Big Ben for Big Boss when?
Yes. Batman isnt supposed to kill, but in EVERY other aspect, Affleck outclassed Bale. Bale was a shit batman and a shit Bruce Wayne.
These are the facts.
>commie measurements
jae lee sucks tho
Bale was the infinitely better Bruce Wayne.
Not even close.
To each his own m8. Affleck was objectively more comic-like batman. (minus the murder)
All his Batman work is post-Bale. That's a case of his Batman looking like Bale, not Bale looking like Batman.
Jason Lee's Batman looks like shit.
I'll take him over Capullo and his gigantics jawlines
>Val Kilmer was heavier than Christian Bale
How?
>like this
In what fucking way
It's not really fair to compare since Bale had a trilogy while Affleck was only featured in one movie.
Well, the whole playboy schtick for starters. But I get why they didn't use that in BvS.
It's the best adaptation of the Batsuit in any live action movie. I think Bale looked fine, but this was the truest the suit has ever been to the comics.
He looks better, but his movies are worse.
Capullo is great. You're out of your mind
I don't think Bale was bad casting; I just don't think Batman himself is anywhere near the best thing about the Nolan films. The writing isn't quite there, and Batman doesn't have much of a sense of presence. I don't think that's Bale's fault so much as the costume and the direction, though. Batman as a concept relies on a sense of theatricality. One of the reasons why I always liked Burton's films and Keaton in the role despite other issues.
I haven't seen BvS so I can't comment on Affleck. I like the costume, though.
Don't know why they didn't went with pic related. The cowl still looks off tho
Keaton was damn fine, fuck off.
To be fair, we haven't seen nearly as much of Affleck's Bruce, but from what little we've seen I thought he was solid. Although the Nolan film's have been the only movies to really capture the "Bruce Wayne is the character, and Batman is the true person" idea. Granted I could have done without him giving up on being Batman, but whatever.
it's amazing how small Bale looks in all these pictures. Batfleck is a fucking monster
Bale was never really about adapting Batman, it was more of a ''what if Batman was real'' adaptation, Batfleck definitely feels more like THE Batman. Both are pretty great but there's no point in making a comparison when they're going for different things.
Yeah, there's something about the Bale cowl that was never quite right. It looks fine, but the mouth is too circular.
>including lego Batman
I chuckled.
It's actually the standard measurements, almost all the world uses them.
They're also better in every aspect, not using them is retarded, there are no excuses.
Fuck yes he does. I liked Bale, but Affleck has the feel of comic book Batman. The voice modulator was a fucking great idea, too.
Because unlike other incarnations of Batman, in the DCEU, Bruce's employees love him.
bale is better young batman
benny boy is better old man batman
I didn't think I'd like the voice modulator at first, but in the movie it works. It's a much better solution to the voice disguising problem than the throat cancer routine.
Look at that leg ratio dude.
Bale looks like a midget
+
I'd like them to really play up that theatricality/"urban legend" aspect of the Batman. You could use that voice modulator and remote speakers to do some really creepy things.
It's very Gimpy. Makes me think Leatherhead wants his mouth fucked. Even got some nice handlebars for grip.
I can't read this shit. Give me the american .png
So why did Wally say "You're the boss, boss" like he blames Bruce? Or at least, is mad at him for some reason?
>tfw there will never be a sin city like batman movie
aka stylistic noir imagery with very little if no color
this is some next level autism, do you interact with other human being or just cardboard cutouts?
Why is this inconsequential throwaway line bothering you so much?
What's funny is Nolan/Bale's Batman uses a modulator too so they say. Obviohsly it's just Bale killing his voice. Nolan is a hack.
Wally's basically trying to be put on a brave face for a man he admires and is telling him that calling him Wally is fine.
The line delivery is just weird, is all I'm saying. He genuinely sounded angry at Bruce, but I guess that's just my autism.
affleck's covers up his dumb chin which is perfect because nobody can do comic chin except henry cavill
I also appreciate the effort put in that warehouse fight scene, despite Batman killing everyone. People forget how shitty the fighting was the Nolan movies. This is how Batman should clear a room, using gadgets, breaking legs, being quick and brutal.
why do people act like he killed the guy who stabbed him?
You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain
He roundhouse kicked a hanging guy into a grenade jackass
I'm not much of a comicfags but haven't the previous movie Batmans killed indirectly?
He shot up a truck with his bat ship
...
Well, he killed like 6 guys with his bare hands in that warehouse, plus the ones outside he shredded with bullets. No reason not to kill that one too
I think you're confusing pain with anger.
He only killed a few people in the warehouse.
There were the two guys who got killed by the grenade and KGBeast.
What exactly does he do to that guy right at the end?
I really like how big his head is.
That looks like a shoulder stab to me.
Yes. Keaton was a even worse murderer than Affleck. Kilmer only killed Two-Face I think. Bale sorta kinda killed Liam Nesson on the train too.
>He shot up a truck with his bat ship
I like how someone tried to tell me they were "warning shots"
You saying Affleck is more like Adam West?
Because, obviously.
Fuck, I hope the Batman film will be along the lines of the animated series and close to the comics. They have the look and fighting choreography down.
Why does Batman not even seem to try hiding his true identity in the dceu?
They have. There's even some old golden-age comics where he killed before they toned him down. In Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns," there's a scene almost identical to the flamethrower scene from BvS, and in the comic, it's somewhat ambiguous as to what exactly he used that gun to do.
Miller went on record years later flat-out stating that he didn't kill that gang member holding the hostage, but Miller's a weird guy. At least to me, it's just as possible that he decided retroactively that Bruce didn't shoot to kill.
I want to like Bale, but Affleck is pretty much objectively better
He probably doesn't give a shit no more after seeing how he let it slip with Waller.
yeah. Batlfleck has the higher kill count., but yeah.
Keaton also used guns in his vehicles, and has a notable kill of dropping a dude down the sewers with a bomb attached to him.
Bale kills numerous people in the league of shadows dojo by making it blow up. he kills harvey/two face, the people in the truck he uppercuts with the tumbler in the underground tunnel in TDK, and he causes the crash that kills Thalia and her driver in TDKR. there's more im sure but these are the main ones that stick out.
I think live action wise, only Clooney and I *think* West haven't killed.
>Why does Batman not even seem to try hiding his true identity in the dceu?
>uses a voice modulator
>only people that knew in the movie were Lex, Alfred, Clark and maybe lois
????
That comic was so good, I wish it had a better, or at least more modern drawing.
Waller very heavily hints that she already knows anyway: "You should stop working nights."
Fuck all these Batman threads make me want to watch this mess. Worth renting for $5 CAD just for the Batman bits?
Can't torrent because reasons.
Grab his nuts.
Whoop, I forgot Wonder Woman
Non canon comic.
>The author went on record years later
Make fart noises. That's what I hear every time an artist pussies out years after the fact. Even based Raimi is a jackass.
Yeah, I'd say that the Batfleck alone is worth 5 bucks.
Thanks.
So I'm guessing what upsets people about Batfleck killing is that it's graphic and not indirectly like the others.
What about Raimi?
If you're Canadian you can torrent. But no, it's not worth it just for Batman because he's literally in the movie for a total of like 100 seconds.
its on putlocker to stream
What happened here? Did the guards let Batman in or did he take them down or were they never there to begin with?
Oh my god yes. Ben Affleck made me feel terrified, disgusted, sorrowful, etc in a good way. 9/11 Batman is a must see for any American.
Just look at those clips of Batfleck in youtube. That'll satisfy you.
I like those shoes.
>Did the guards let Batman in or did he take them down or were they never there to begin with?
The former, though maybe Batman knocked them out mercifully to do his business, I'm sure after Superman's death they wouldn't mind Batman smacking Luthor around.
Every single way
Nope. Do not taint the latest Batman by watching scenes out of context.
it's the deliberate killing that's really the upsetting part, and honestly the only flaw with Batfleck
the car chase scene and blowing up the trucks in the batwing specifically.
I don't mind the kicking the dude at the grenade nor the brutality of his hand to hand combat. I've always liked the idea of Bats being unhinged and nuts "I won't kill you, but i'll leave you paralyzed for the rest of your life" type of nutty justice.
Yeah, that's pretty much it. Me, I have zero problem seeing Bruce over the edge.
It amazes me that many people don't seem to realize that there are elements of BvS that are a direct reversal of the character arcs in DKR:
DKR
Batman, largely uncompromised, sticks to his principles and brings Superman, tool of the government, back into the hero fold.
BvS
Superman, largely uncompromised, sticks to his principles and inspires Bruce. a victim of his own obsessions, back to heroism.
Well, that depends. The movie really is a hot mess and you'll just be exhausted after sitting there for 3 hours. The fight with Superman is cool too I guess be the reason why they got to that point is so stupid kinda just deflates the whole thing.
