There's a character for everyone in that show. Dr. Cox if you like cynical humor, HD and Turk if you like goofy buddy comedy, Janitor for weird dark humor, Elliott and Carla for girl humor, Kelso if you like light-hearted abuse humor, etc.

I liked that Scrubs was racially conscious without being racially charged. It was still okay to make race jokes back then. Although the tone did change slightly.
