DUDE YOU DON'T LIKE TAME IMPALA? I BET URE A VIRGIN THEN
Check out Mac Demarco
Good taste, user
The only fault with this album is there are no Lemmy Songs.
A live version of The Watcher or Silver Machine should've been included.
Of course you can't beat the live versions of Born to Go or Brain Storm.
Grumbling Furs - Furfour
Saw them live and it the dankest experience of my life..
I just discovered this last week and have been listening to it nonstop
Why is soft machine two so underrated? Its almost as good as third and a little better than one
That's the good stuff mane
It's way snappier that I expected from the cover
>post psych albums you've been listening to
>if you listened to these psych bands, you can't post
Nice
For real though, a lot of Thee Oh Sees, King Gizzard, and Hawkwind. Space Ritual was fucking amazing.
Deerhunter's discography and earlier Dan Deacon
I should check out the stuff thats been posted Space Ritual is great though
>Sup Forums baby is sad because OP doesn't want another circlejerk thread with the same 5 p4k flavor of the month bands
Is this psych rock?
Psych Folk, but still really great.
>hawkwind
nice
Do you think Thee Oh Sees should call it quits? They seem like a parody of themselves at this point
i'm a sucker for spacemen 3, been listening to them a lot
i think thee oh sees shouldn't call it quits, but they need to slow the fuck down.
same with King Gizzard, of Montreal and AnCo
Melody's Echo Chamber, some nice french psych
yes! good shit as well, i love their two recent records.
I feel likejib kidder deserves a mention. Especially considering his music video style
youtu.be
Great album.
The Stargazer Lillies - We Are The Dreamers
Garage rock-esque psych with East Asian influences. I would definitely recommend to any 60s era rock nut.
>Vietnam
>East Asia
Confirmed retard
yewwwww
oh fuck thanks user
It's shit. Couldn't see that one coming.
Fuck that, they are better than they've ever been now
the entire second half of thee oh sees discography
I want to see them live so bad
Long time since I saw Ozric Tentacles being named here, good one user
How so? They're still making the same record they always do
Their wild freakouts are some of the best songs. But they have plenty of slower songs on last few records.
Ditto - I'm Floridafag and they usually skip here when touring - and apparently will yet again on next tour.
i think you're thinking of king gizz
He was saying they need to slow down with how many records they put out. Not write slower songs.
I was an Oh Sees fan for years. Seen em a bunch. It's all the same shit every time.
The first link has one person claiming East asian, followed by dozens of people all disagreeing and presenting evidence why Vietnamese are actually SE Asian.
The Britannica link also places Vietnam in SE Asia.
You must literally be retarded. Go fall into a tar pit.
Ok - I loved it and want more. Now what? Not on Amazon, not on Cursed Tongue Records webpage. Can we get this band on the Sharethread plz?
Its not the same record - but after alot of mediocrity and hit-and-miss efforts they've found a *sound* that works great for them.
They should absolutely stick with that sound, and keep writing great songs and making terrific records.
Been lostening to a lot of psycodelic doom and drone, as well as depressive ambient. I suggest The Spacelords as well for something lighter.
howdy baby someone talk to me
oh shit I forgot to post the thing
Oh. OHHHHH....durr.
Well maybe, but putting them out as quickly as they do is a nice contrast to almost every other band I've ever loved, where its not uncommon for years to go by between albums.
I think the(e) Oh Sees proverbial iron is hot, and they should strike the fuck out of it until it cools.
Smart to keep going back while you can. Bands come and go, you know.
Yeah I know. I'm just not interested any more
...
Is Revolver considered to be a psych rock album? Legitimate question.
not a psych rock album imo, but definitely contains psych rock songs
yes
it leans more towards being a psychedelic rock album overall and then a psychedelic pop album. it is "heavier" harder sounding than sgt pepper which is predominantly a psychedelic pop album first, but revolver doesnt loose any of its pop appeal at all especially in dealing with psychedelic subject matter and novel ideas
ok ill talk about it a little
dad rock made so cheaply it actually gains substance
The Babe Rainbow
10/10 album, absolutely great
>I'll almost certainly never see Oresund Space Collective live
It's nice they upload their concerts for free in lossless but, still.
>what is bandcamp

U mad?
Deerhunter - Halcyon Digest
I've been listening to Stark Naked's s/t a lot lately. It's great. I'm also really into Master Musicians of Bukkake. Also I like anco but I get it
I used to be a huge Ozric fan man. Now I want to go listen to Pungent Effulgent
how is cate le bon so underrated? she's one of the best if not the best modern psych artist today. her collab with tim presley of white fence is great too.
youtube.com
music is great, voice sucks ! better try this : deerhoof "tricky bird"
...
...
Acid Mothers- mantra of love
More dream pop, but my label put this single out today. We fucked up the timing, so the press premiere on TMT and announce isn't happening till next week. Thoughts? RIYL: Ariel Pink, Cate Le Bon, Woods...
Nightmare of Percussion is an amazing.
Where can you get it?
nvm, bandcamp hurrrr
>complains about people wanting to talk about the same albums over and over again
>uses the term "flavor of the month"
This is why you'll never get what you want
...
I wasn't too big a fan of Seven Up. Sounded like a lesser Schwingungen. In fact there are even some of the same riffs.
Psych rock is shit and all of it sounds the same
One of the GOATS. If you haven't heard it yet you should do so immediately.
this cover is so beautiful
i need it on a shirt or something
underrated
Very nice and calming.
I've been listening to a lot of Red Krayola. They're so underrated.
I've also been listening to a lot of Faust and Captain Beefheart
I've been listening to this lately. Nice shoegaze/psych pop.
I had it on CD for a while.
Definitely the best Hawkwind album, but I found it too messy at first because of the insane amount of delay pedals.
Not the album you'd listen to while using hard psychedelic drugs, especially if you're prone to bad trips.
However I think that's the best EW album
Meh. It's not even the best Tangible Rays album.
Pic related is a personal 9-10/10 for me, I listened to it yesterday
Isn't Dead Meadow more stoner than anything else?
Though I must say I haven't listened to that particular album
This isn't psychidelic at all, though
Well that certain fuzz tone is there, but you hear lots of modulation and delay effects aswell.
Also, they aren't too heavy, really dreamy and playful, no evil, fat riffs. Their style is more psychedelic than most bands in the 70s that were considered psych rock.
