I've watched all the release episodes

The first episode is really tense and well directed and moody, really good stuff.

After it's done you're not sure in what direction the show will go in.

I thought the show's depiction of prison was gonna be super gritty and realistic. Instead you get the Omar Little Slumber Party™ along with every prison cliche under the sun.

They are NOT in prison. Rikers Island is like the equivalent of a county jail for NYC. Prisons are located in upstate New York
