I watched it for the opening scene, which was top tier. Seriously, Leon has the best first 10 minute hook to get you into the film up until TDK. Rest of the movie was slow, sure, but enjoyable. Think why I kept going was just to see how much on an nutcase Gary Oldman was escalating to.

Leon was the first dvd I ever bought. Tier 1 class A undiluted kino. Prime autist Jean reno. 12 year old Portman peaked and has never had a better role. Gary Oldman chews scenery like a madman. Set in New York but feels like a Paris noir. What's not to like

I know this is one of those times where I can't complain for fear of seeming a pedo, but it really pisses me off that someone would just go back and fucking edit a perfectly good movie to suit "the changing times", rather than preserving it in all of its potentially perverse nature.
