I feel the same way. There was no clown in him, no showman, no whimsy or sense of fun, however black the humour. He doesn't tell any jokes, he doesn't seem amused by anything. Even Ledger's Joker had a self-awareness that made him fun, a sense of irony.

no, a trophy is a token of achievement, Harley isn't an achievement for the Joker, he's most often felt annoyed or reluctant to accept he has feelings for her.
He's not playing coy when she tries to hurt her and likely has genuinely tried to kill her before but he would go into a tailspin if he actually did.
Their pairing is so well known that writers including Ayer are trying to complicate it when it's just an exaggerated example of an abusive relationship.
I watched this a couple of hours ago and it was pretty bad, and I liked BvS. First time I've actually cringed in a movie. Did it twice, when Harley steals the bag (IT'S WUT WE DOO), and then when she's getting mad at the Mexican dude which just felt really weird and out of character. Leto was alright though, and Will Smith and Jai Courtney were actually great.
