Hey Sup Forums

hey Sup Forums

Last couple of days I've had a weird pain in the right part of my jaw, the pain comes and goes from higher up near the joint and sometimes down near the bottom. My teeth don't hurt when I apply pressure to them so I don't think its a tooth pain.

It went away for like 12 hours and seems to be worse in the evening when I'm trying to sleep. I'm pretty poor and can't afford a doctor visit right now, is this something that I should be worried about or do I just have an irritated nerve?

Does your jaw make crackling sounds when you move it?

Yeah, both sides do when I rotate them. They have for a few years now and don't really feel pain when I do it. The right joint feels a little discomforted when I do it right now but I can't tell if doing it really "hurts" or not

Ever have trouble closing your mouth all the way, or your jaw feels like its out of alignment?

Tylenol seems to help out well enough for now, I didn't feel much pain for ~4-5 hours or so and now it feels like its coming back. Its kinda a "pulsing" pain where it feels almost like its throbbing, but its more of a sharp pain then a dull one. Pain is most intense when it moves up towards my ear, and kinda gives me a headache

If you're feeling sharp pains, you should probably see a doctor.

No problems closing it, but ever since the joints started clicking and cracking about 5 years ago, it doesn't open up straight when i open my mouth all the way. its not noticeable at glance but i can feel it

immigrate to an intellectually evolved country where basic health care is provided and get it looked at for free.

I don't honestly know if I can properly call it a "sharp pain" as it doesn't feel like i'm being stabbed or anything, its distracting but not debilitating. Its woken me up a couple of times

My guess is that you have some sort of TMJ problem, but I'm no doctor.

I have jaw problems as well as does my mother, but sharp pains should be looked at.

I wish I could but me and my fiance's financial situation can't afford us to immigrate right now lol

Chances of it being something in my teeth/gumline? I don't really feel any discomfort tooth wise when I apply pressure to the teeth closest to the pain (molars)

Maybe he should stop hyperextending his jaw sucking BBC.

Possibly a nerve/gum problem? Any problems with your sinuses?

Also should be noted, nothing feels stiff or swollen

It's actually more likely from grinding your teeth, though trying to stretch it out after you have a problem just makes it worse.

I also REALLY like this photo

If it were your teeth or gumline, your dentist would have caught it long ago.

it's most likely sinus pressure or a temporary nerve issue. maybe you tweaked your jaw in your sleep.

worst case it's some type of tooth/nerve infection, but doubtful unless you have oral hygiene.

Am dentist
Is TMJ

If I can't afford a doctor, no way i'm affording a dentist. My last dental visit was ~5-6 years ago.

My dental hygiene hasn't been super great the last couple of years, but I would assume if it was a tooth problem I would feel a lot more in my mouth when I apply pressure to the affected area

That's cancer, weeb

Thanks toothbro, are the symptoms shared with anything else? I'm more afraid of tooth/mouth problems because of relatively lazy dental hygiene the last couple of years, but as I've stated before my mouth doesn't feel any different. Just the pain that sometimes comes to the lower part of the jaw is somewhat close to my molars. Most intense pain is closer to the joint, though

I feel so bad for Americans. I've heard of people dying because they refused to see a doctor because of finances.

I honestly don't know how you guys don't stand up in revolt. If a bill was somehow past that privatized healthcare in Canada, the whole country would explode.

Rectal AIDS transferred via Ass sucking,

bruh, you clench your jaw at night and possibly during the day without realizing it. it has caused tmj disorder in your jaw. your jaw hurts because you clench it.

i have similar issues, often bcuz i drink too much water/coffee/tea/booze too late at night and then have to piss like a mofo when im sleeping, so i clench my jaw.

you need to be aware of if you are clenching during the day, and at night get a mouth guard from a dentist that will prevent you from clenching too much. also talk to a damn doctor before the tmj starts causing tinnitus so bad you want to commit suicide.

Its getting worse and worse, give us time and we'll break out the guillotines.

In the meantime fuck this jaw pain

Google TMJ - I have it too.

May need root canal. See fellow tooth bro. Dental insurance can be very cheap of you shop. It will not get better on its own.

tmj same condition i have

I'm 24 in arizona with shit credit, anything in particular you could recommend?

I've had it for over 3 years

Go see a Doctor, OP. Sounds like you have inflammation on something in your jaw. Maybe even an infection. Jaw infections can really suck. Easily spread to the nerves and it is all down hill from there.

also is it possible it is tooth related even if none of my teeth hurt?

I've had an infection under a tooth for more than a year. It started with pains like this that would go away after some days, worse in the night. Then crises were paired with swollen jaw on the side.

Each crisis was worse than the previous one. Doctor or dentist had no clue what was going on but gave me antibiotics anyway which would end the crisis after about 3-4 days.

As each crisis was worse than the previous one and occured every 3 weeks, the pain quickly became unbearable and kept going stronger. I would eat painkillers like candies, hold a pack of ice on my jaw and wake up in the night when the ice had melted.

Until one day a jaw specialist took a look at my jaw X-ray and found it in 2 minutes. Removed tooth, cleaned infection, sealed.

You could just do what ever single poor fag and trailer trash does OP. Go to hospital get imaging done and don't pay the bill. Your credit will get fucked but if you are a poorfag that shouldn't even matter to you. That's what everyone at my trailer park does. When we run their background almost all of them have unpaid medical bills but most places don't care about that as much as foreclosures, liens, repos, and so on.

>should be worried about or do I just have an irritated nerve?

Your on the internet - google "Jaw Pain" instead of asking the idiots of Sup Forums.

In some cases jaw pain can indicate heart trouble.

You grind your teeth.
