pic related, great album
guess I haven't been into traditional hip hop and certainly not mainstream 'rap' most of my life but I dig the craze lately with chilled out instrumental hip hop, sounds the kind of producers like dj krush, j dilla, or weeb hop like nujabes make
I mean
overrated
Solid
Joanna Newsom - Ys
The B-52's - Bouncing off the Satellites
Malice Mizer - Bara no Seidou
A few off the top of my head. too lazy to gather pictures.
its music man, its like food
some people love spaghetti, some people dont
Agreed (white album is soooooo much better)
Op once more
There's absolutely nothing over rated about these two albums

Rishloo, not well known but excellent nonetheless
I meant to post this along with my message
yup and honestly there was no real reason for me to comment anything negative...just had a dick moment.
...
I almost feel like now the Beatles are underrated and their albums are overrated if that makes sense. The White album is near-perfect though.
Also Kensington Blues
...
Here ya go, my dudes.
I fucking love pet sounds
...
look at all these plebs
...
That must've taken you a good 2 minutes too tag all the posts
could have come up with something better than "pleb" seriously how lazy is that lol
Met my girlfriend over our mutual love of Pet Sounds and even saw Brian Wilson together last year, honestly an all time favorite, here's a another fave on my list along with Sounds of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
huh. I guess you're a fan of Newsom, B-52's, and Malice Mizer.
Biff Turkey
Where the fuck did you see brian wilson live you motherfucker. I saw his two brothers on tour in late 2016 and brian was on a solo tour in japan at the time.
>joanna newsom in this thread
FUCK YES, my favorite album of all time, always blows me away.
Everyone should give Joanna a chance, her voice is hard to get into (if you're a pleb kek) but her arrangements are amazing and she is one of the greatest songwriters of our generation.
Op again.
Holy shit this is s great band
slightly off topic
this just makes me smile
Op here
If anyone knows this album ill be so happy
I don't say this lightly, but I've always put her and Bob Dylan side-by-side. Both are poets of course, but Dylan is a lyricist, more so. Joanna is a POET.
In my opinion, musically and poetically, Ys is an underrated masterpiece.
one of my favorites
mmhhmmm them and the Pogues great stuff
LOVE Blind Pilot.
Lord Huron is great too, similar vein

Im from oregon. Seen them twice live. God, they sound even better live
weird I have a similar story but with Blue Oyster Cult
That's a better way of putting it, she's definitely a poet.
How do you feel about her other works compared to ys?
...
I got into her through Milk-Eyed Mender, which I love. I was a bit dissapointed with her third release (can't even remember it's name). There were a couple good tracks, but I felt it was largely forgettable. Since, I haven't given Divers a chance, but I did hear a few songs when I saw her live the second time. I liked the songs, so I really should check it out. She was beautiful both times I saw her, but the second time was one of the best concerts I've been to.
Saw them in Dubuque last summer, was surprised they're still around
That brings me back to 2010.
Anything from Pink Floyd's lesser-known albums.
I only recently found out about her this January right after the Divers tour ended, now I gotta wait like 5 years until she churns out another album smh
milk eyed mender voice is goat and is what drew me to her
...
I listen to this at least once a year since I was 17(40 now). It never gets old for me.
She started to force vibrato in her voice after Ys, and I think that's largely what turns me off about that third album. In MEM and Ys, she's just singing her own natural way, no forced vibrato.
Yeah, they both were on the smaller festival circuit a couple years back and caught them both
Op here
Division bell is an awesome album
This is good shit, btw. I'm usually on top of Japanese music scene, but I've never heard of them. Thanks.
