I'm not a stormfaggot, but I still have huge problems with this idea.

I wholeheartedly believe that we need to be encouraging blacks to aspire to do better things than they do today.

But I also truly believe that given the well-proven disparities in heritable IQ's between the races,
(Medians: Ashkenazi Jews: ~112; East Asians: ~108; Caucasian whites: ~103; Middle Easterners and South Asians: ~93; Mestizo Hispanics: ~90; African Americans: ~85; Sub-Saharan Africans: ~72; Australian Aborigines and Melanesians: ~65)which have been so thoroughly and conclusively proven that the 21st century left silences discussion of them the way the 15th century Catholic church buried anyone who talked about Heliocentric solar system models, I honestly think that it's cruel and unfair to encourage blacks to aspire to the same things that whites/asians/jews excel at.

Because given their average IQ's, it's an order of magnitude less likely that a black person will have the ~115+ IQ that is necessary to excel in the STEM fields compared to a white/asian/jew who wants to accomplish those same things. Or to put it this way, it would be like encouraging a group of people whose median height is 5'5" that they should all aspire to play in the NBA or go out for the US Olympic heavyweight crew team.

Some of them may well be able to accomplish it, but the vast, vast majority wont, and because we live in a society where discussion of the very exact reason why 95% of them won't be able to make it in a field that 25% of whites and 50% of Jews can succeed in is strictly verboten, they will instead turn as they do to the excuse of "we aren't succeeding in STEM because of INSTITUTIONAL RACISM AND WHITE MALE PRIVILEGE" which has become so commonplace today.

But the problem is, that Hollywood is run and operated by the same sorts of high-IQ whites, Jews, and asians who dominate academia and go into the STEM fields. They were born in an environment where NOT going to an elite college, much less ANY college, was considered a major life failure and something to be avoided at all costs. Which makes sense, because in those circles, the IQ median is more like 115-120, and given those levels of intelligence, anything less than an elite college education IS failure.

But the problem comes when they project those ideas about life success and that that means on a population whose IQ averages TWO standard deviations lower than theirs, because they've been raised in a cultural climate that ignores the issue of heritable differences in IQ and their effect on socioeconomic outcomes.

So to your average median IQ black, aspiring to be a rank-and-file engineer (median IQ: ~120) is about as realistic of a goal as aspiring to be a neurosurgeon, a quant fund manager, or a partner in a big name law firm is for a white person (Median IQ: ~140). Whereas to that same black, aspiring to be a cop or a nurse (median IQ: ~100) is about as realistic as encouraging that white kid to go design rotor hubs for Sikorsky.

But because Hollywood writers and producers live in that "anything less than an elite college education is a failure" bubble, they outright look down on "vocational" or "blue collar" jobs like law public safety or allied health, because they would consider such outcomes to be "failures" for their own children to achieve and project those class prejudices on blacks as well.

TLDR: I think we need to give blacks better role models in film,but they need to be attainable ones for a group with median=~85 IQs, AKA cops, nurses, small business owners, etc, instead of Dr's, engineers, etc, even though that's much less sexy to the white people who actually make and watch these flicks to ease their white guilt
