Suicide Squad as you know had a lot of adult themes. It also starred the Joker who is meant to be very disturbing and psychopathic because that is how his character was originally written and how he SHOULD be displayed in the film. I do not understand why critics believe that every super hero film should be kid friendly.
DC aren't even super hero films in my opinion but detective thrillers. Marvel = super hero action. There is a big difference between the 2.

What is the fucking problem with having a villain do something unfriendly and something wrong? Why should DC have to sugar coat their villains and characters?
I am happy that WB did not completely water this down (yes I know they cut out Joker slapping Harley but at least the darkish adult tone still remained in this film).
This same critic gave Ghostbusters a glowing review. He's just angry that there wasn't a sex scene between Harley and one of the black characters.

When I was 13 I thought la blue girl (then urotsukidoji) was the most adult shit possible, because it said right on it, "absolutely not for children."
